The USFA Custer Battlefield was manufactured to appear aged, as if you might have found it and picked it up off the field of Little Big Horn. These revolvers were an extremely limited run. The serial numbers used were the same range as those issued to the ill-fated Custer’s 7th Cavalry. The guns have all the markings consistent with the original .45 Colt 1873 SAA’s, the left buttstock cartouche, "OWA" & "A" stamped on the backstrap, cylinder, and triggerguard for inspector Orville W. Ainsworth, and again the serial numbers within the correct range and placed in the historically accurate locations on the firearm just as Colt did. "US" on left frame. Exceptional single-action revolver produced by United States Fire Arms Mfg. Co. based out of The Colt Armory complex in Hartford, Connecticut. The company is renowned for their superb quality and finish but went out of business in 2011. The revolver has a couple of very minor scratches, otherwise like new. Comes in the original factory box with paperwork , and cloth bag, box is excellent.NRA Condition-Excellent. Modern Firearm.
