It was marketed by the Plant Manufacturing Co. and is often identified as a Plant Pocket model. Most were five shot with the exception of the six shot Eagle Arms Co. 3.5" octagon ribbed barrel guns like this one. The top of the barrel on this revolver is marked EAGLE ARMS CO. NEW YORK. Patent dates on cylinder., the front of the frame is stamped "S". The bore is very good with bright, strong rifling. The brass frame is very good with none of the original silver plating. The barrel and cylinder have a smooth brown patina. The rosewood grips are fine with much original finish. The bottom of the grip strap has APC stamped in small letters just forward of the serial number. The hammer action works well, cylinder does not rotate. This is a very interesting revolver that, due to its unique ammunition, only lasted a few years. NRA condition-Fair. Antique Firearm.
