1991 Mercedes-Benz 500E (W124)

  • Supplied by Mercedes-Benz Canary Islands in Nautical Blue Metallic on the 11/07/1991

  • Registered in Tenerife until bought by Konstantin-Assen, Prince of Vidin, Duke of Saxony in 2012

  • Showing some 92,600 km or 57,800 miles (atoc) the car is now in the UK on a NOVA

  • The history file is extensive with numerous receipts for main dealer servicing and maintenance

  • Supplied with the original handbooks and service book, the car is in first-class order

  • A unique opportunity to purchase a European delivered 500E with Royal provenance

With its engineering department fully occupied with the development of the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz commissioned Porsche in 1989 to redesign the W124 chassis to enable the 5.0L V8 from the SL to be shoehorned in, along with the necessary changes to the suspension system and drivetrain. The ultimate 'wolf in sheep's clothing' of the 1990's, the 500E saloon was built to rival the BMW M5 and was created in close cooperation with Porsche. The new stealth saloon offered no visible clues on the outside except for very slightly flared wheel arches, wider tyres, and discreet side skirts. 60mph arrived in just five seconds and 100mph in just over 14 seconds, remarkable for a car with such stately presence. It was only available as a hand-built, four-door saloon in left-hand drive and the low production numbers rendered it an instant classic.

Supplied by Mercedes-Benz Ahlers & Rahn S.A Canary Islands in Nautical Blue Metallic on the 11th July 1991 until bought by Prince Konstantin in 2012. The supplying Mercedes-Benz dealer on the island maintained the car until 2012 when it was brought onto the Spanish mainland and thereafter regularly maintained at Mercedes-Benz I.T.R.A-S.L. Madrid, most recently serviced by them in October 2019 at 92,240km.

The extensive history file is filled with main dealer receipts and documents showing Prince Konstantin's name. Scans of the maintenance and service receipts and the service book can be emailed to interested parties. The car arrived in the UK in June and is currently on a NOVA, ready for UK or overseas registration and the UK MOT is valid until June 2021. With the odometer, at the time of cataloguing, showing some 92,600 kilometres or 57,800 miles the interior is as one would imagine. Silverstone Auctions has offered the very finest examples of the 500E over the last few years and this car is among the best, and with impeccable provenance, we welcome inspection of this car and its history file.

To conclude, it is rare enough to offer an example of the eminently driveable 500E with such low mileage, but it must be unheard of to offer one from Royal ownership from. How many can say, in 2020, that they own a car that belonged to the son of a Tsar?

1993 Mercedes-Benz SL500 (R129) - 2,907 miles from new

Lot # 351 (Sale Order: 52 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remain the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Manufactured in right-hand drive in 1993 and sold internally within the factory for TUV approval

  • Having then covered some 2,800 miles it was stored by the factory until it was sold earlier this year

  • In April 2020, sent to the Mercedes-Benz main dealer in Nordhausen for a light recommissioning

  • Costing some €1,800 the detailed invoice includes fluid servicing and new Michelins

  • Currently, on a NOVA, the car is unregistered and was MOT'd in July at 2,907 miles (atoc)

  • With the interior still retaining its 'new car smell,' this is an unrepeatable opportunity

From a firm lineage of beautiful Mercedes-Benz SLs, the R129 model was introduced in 1989 and continued the company's tradition of fast and reliable grand touring convertibles. Stemming from the earlier 500SL model, the new SL500 featured a 5.0-litre V8 engine that generated 302bhp. The new model also featured an expanding roll-over bar, a fully electric hood, electric seats, mirrors, anti-lock brakes and a multi-link rear axle.

Manufactured in right-hand drive in September 1993 and finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with Anthracite black leather, the car was internally invoiced to the TUV approval department at the Mercedes-Benz factory for type approval. It is believed there was a model change during this time and the car was selected for approval. After the car had travelled some 2,800 miles it was stored by Mercedes until it left the factory at the start of 2020. It was never registered to anyone and only used by the factory.

Having been kept for seventeen years the car required light recommissioning which included a full fluid service and brakes and a new ECU for the roof together with four brand new Michelin tyres amongst other things. The accompanying invoice from Mercedes-Benz main dealer Peter GmbHR of Nordhausen amounts to €1,800. The history file includes the aforementioned invoice, factory replacement handbook and service book together with a print out of the option codes that show internal factory designation codes (860 and 981 – hardly ever seen) and the Mercedes-Benz internal data card together with a letter from Mercedes-Benz confirming its right-hand drive status and date of manufacture. A copy of the NOVA and MOT Certificate valid until July 2021 is also included. As the car is unregistered in the UK, the buyer will need to register with the DVLA using the accompanying documentation already prepared.

To conclude, this is an unrepeatable opportunity and the car presents as one would imagine and in classic historic SL Mercedes colours. The interior is crisp and still retains its “new car smell” and it will fit easily into any collection or even better, used as intended by an enthusiastic driver. As close as one can get to a new R129.

1997 Aston Martin Vantage V550 - 4500 miles from new

Lot # 352 (Sale Order: 53 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.v

  • Ordered new via Aston Martin Sales, Mayfair in December 1997 by the Brunei Royal family in UK right-hand drive specification

  • Supplied in Pentland Green metallic with tan leather piped Forest Green, tan headlining and Fir Green carpeting

  • This Vantage had its pre-delivery inspection by Aston Martin Works on 31/03/1998 and was in Brunei until 2017

  • UK registered in 2017 by our vendor and recommissioned with no expense spared

  • Only 4,468 miles (atoc) as the Brunei collection cars tend to be lightly used

  • Just 240 standard V550 Vantages were built for all markets and this car is among the best

It is thought only some 240 of these rare and powerful cars were hand-built at the factory at Newport Pagnell all equipped with a 5.3-litre V8 sporting twin Eaton superchargers. Power output was around 550 bhp and torque was equally impressive at 550 ft/lbs and, at the time, this was the most powerful production engine in the world. Top speed was 191 mph, with a 0-60mph time of just 4.6 seconds an astonishing feat for such a large car with the comfortable cabin resplendent in Walnut and Connolly leather barely referencing the pace to the occupants.

The Brunei Royal Family have long been fans of Aston Martin and in the 1980s and ‘90s were among their best customers, some say keeping the company solvent. The Sultan, his brother and other family members ordered many bespoke V8 coupes with one-off designs by Zagato and Pinninfarina. However, in 1997 the family were satisfied with the factory design and brutish good looks of this Vantage V550 and took delivery in 1998. It's finished in arguably the best colour combination of Pentland Green with Tan leather piped Forest Green with Tan headlining and Fir Green carpeting. Naturally, the dashboard and doors are clad in the finest Walnut veneer, rivalling only Rolls-Royce for craftsmanship and interior refinement.

Fitted with a rare automatic transmission, this Vantage had its pre-delivery inspection by Aston Martin Works on 31st March 1998 and was exported to Brunei shortly afterwards. As is common with virtually all cars owned by the Brunei royal family they are used for a short period and then stored. To put into context why the cars are so little used, and to show why Aston Martins remain so popular with the family, some 39 Astons joined the Sultan of Brunei’s collection during the 1990s.

The car was acquired by our vendor and shipped from Brunei and registered with the DVLA in 2017. Due to little use and the fact Brunei does not have an official Aston Martin main dealer the only stamp in the service book is the car’s PDI by Aston Martin Works in March 1998. Consequently, our vendor treated the car to an extensive, no expense spared re-commissioning programme of works including a full rebuild of the twin superchargers, cooling system, underbody heat shields, bushes and hoses and other works at a cost of £15,000. The bills for parts supplied by Aston Martin Works Newport Pagnell came to some £10,000, and various other invoices amounting to much more can be supplied via email and shows the commitment of our vendor to own the best V550 available in today's market.

The odometer was reading 4,468 miles, at the time of cataloguing, and it must be noted that cars that have been owned by the Brunei Royal family have always shown low mileages. The history file includes an Aston Martin Heritage Certificate, the aforementioned invoices and service book. The car has a valid MOT until January 2021 and is supplied with a UK V5C.

Few cars of the 1990s command such road presence as the V550 and whilst the turn of speed rivals its Italian contemporaries the luxurious interior and silky smooth automatic gearbox provides a uniquely British experience and suits the car's Grand Tourer status.

Please note the private registration on the car is not included in the sale and the car will come with a year-appropriate registration.

1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS

Lot # 356 (Sale Order: 57 of 132)

  • An original, matching numbers, RS Cosworth finished in the rare colour of Moonstone Blue

  • Dating from February 1987, it was taken off the road in the mid-nineties and stored in the owner's garage

  • In storage for more than 20 years, making only an occasional appearance for an MOT

  • The recorded mileage of 43,765 miles is known by our vendor to be accurate, however, since all service documentation has been lost, the mileage cannot be officially verified

  • A well-presented, completely standard and apparently unmolested example with a sensible mileage

At its introduction in 1982, the Sierra's revolutionary new shape proved a touch more divisive than Ford had anticipated and some serious marketing became a priority, so it was the obvious choice to become the platform for Ford's new competition aspirations in conjunction with Cosworth. It fitted the brief well as it was rear-wheel drive, had good aerodynamics, albeit being prone to lift at high speeds and was available as a three-door. The new body kit and rear spoiler would sort out the lift issues but, more importantly, Ford still needed to build 5,000 units for homologation, somewhat worrying when the company's initial approach to the dealer network came back with an estimate that suggested they could sell around 1,500 units! The eventual sales record is, of course, history. Ford went on to sell 5,545 three-door cars including the RS500, of which only 500 were built, and the Cosworth engine also found its way into nearly 30,000 Ford Sierra Saloons (Cosworth 3dr, Sapphire 2wd, and 4wd).

The Sierra Cosworth comfortably exceeded Ford's best expectations and it went on to become one of the most successful Touring Car racers of all time, winning races all over the world.

We are delighted to present an original, matching number, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth finished in the rare and desirable colour of Moonstone Blue. First registered on 26th February 1987, the car was purchased from a Ford Main Dealer by its previous owner in October 1988, when it was just 20 months old, keeping it for the next 28 years. It appears to have been used as normal everyday transport until the mid-nineties, when it was taken off the road and stored in the owner's garage, where it was to remain unused for more than 20 years, making only an occasional appearance for an MOT. The recorded mileage of 43,765 miles is known by our vendor to be accurate, however, since all period service documentation has been lost, the mileage cannot be officially verified.

The car has been MOT'd every year since 2012 but used very little since. Prior to receiving an MOT in January 2017, the car underwent a full brake overhaul including new discs, pads and reconditioned callipers front and rear. In January 2018, it was treated to new spark plus, ignition leads, distributor cap and rotor arm. Recent work, done in June 2020, again saw new brake fluid, a new rear brake bias valve, and new front track control arms. The relevant invoices for all this work are in the car's history file along with the Registration Documents, V5s and SORNs etc. There is a fresh MOT until July 2021.

This is a well-presented, completely standard and apparently unmolested example of these desirable eighties sporting saloons and is eminently usable with a sensible mileage that doesn't mean you have to worry about putting a few more on, and an appearance that suggests that it has been cossetted all its life. A cracking 'Cossie'.

1962 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-Litre Manual/Overdrive

Lot # 357 (Sale Order: 58 of 132)

  • Jaguar's seminal Mk2 sports saloon in the ultimate 3.8-litre, manual/overdrive configuration

  • A genuine, matching-numbers survivor, from only two owners. The first for 22 years, covering just under 52,000 miles, the second owner amassed just a further 18,000 miles during the next 36 years

  • The paintwork was refreshed some 25 years ago and shows no sign of deterioration, the underside is in a condition which 'needs to be seen to be believed'

  • Recently been professionally re-trimmed in the original colour by Aldridge Trimming; the reclining front seats were a factory option and fitted from new

  • The engine was completely rebuilt only 4,000 miles ago (invoice on file) and performs perfectly. A later ('65 on) fully rebuilt Jaguar all-synchro overdrive gearbox and power steering from the same period have been fitted

Launched in October 1959, the Jaguar Mk2 offered a noticeably improved driving experience over its predecessor courtesy of revised front suspension geometry, widened rear track, and four-wheel disc brakes. It was also better looking and, fittingly, the Mk2 was voted 'Car of the Year' in 1959 and would form the mainstay of Jaguar's saloon car production until 1967.

One of the most readily recognised cars of the 1960s, thanks in part to countless appearances in films and on television, Jaguar's seminal Mk2 saloon set the standard for the class throughout its entire production life and today remains highly prized by enthusiasts. With the advent of the Mk2, the 3.8-litre version of Jaguar's XK twin-cam six became available for the first time in the company's medium-sized saloon. In 3.8-litre, manual/overdrive configuration with 220bhp on-tap and a whopping 240lb/ft of torque available at a lowly 3,000rpm, it was a genuine 125 mph car capable of reaching 60mph in 8.5 seconds, outstanding figures for a saloon of its size and making it the fastest saloon in the world at the time.

The car presented here is that most desirable of models, a 1962 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-litre M/OD, in striking Opalescent Bronze paintwork. This example is a really genuine, matching-numbers survivor of its type, cherished from new by only two owners. The first kept it for some 22 years, covering just under 52,000 miles (letter of confirmation on file), the second (lady) owner added a further 18,000 miles on 'high days and holidays' during the next 36 years, with maintenance being carried out by her engineer husband.

The paintwork was refreshed some 25 years ago and shows no sign of deterioration, the underside is in a condition which really ‘needs to be seen to be believed’. The leather interior has been recently professionally retrimmed in the original colour with material supplied by Aldridge Trimming and the reclining front seats were a factory option fitted from new and have the built-in picnic tables to the rear.

The 3.8-litre engine was completely rebuilt only 4,000 miles ago (invoice on file) and performs perfectly - strong, responsive, and quiet in operation. To improve driveability and with minimal compromise to originality, a later ('65 on) fully rebuilt Jaguar all-synchro overdrive gearbox and power steering from the same period have been fitted. It is difficult to overstate the overall condition of this lovely, UK-supplied 3.8 MOD car with correct chassis number and matching engine for its type, still wearing its original Southampton registration number. Supplied with a Heritage Certificate, the aforementioned letter from first owner, assorted invoices and MOT Certificates from 1984, its original handbook/manuals, original toolkit and, fascinatingly, a copy of the Southampton Echo from August 1963 which was secreted in the car by the first owner and discovered during the re-trim!

You can now book a one-to-one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between 16th and 30th July. Please contact Joe on 07779 082707 / joe@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail. 1987 Lamborghini LM002

Lot # 358 (Sale Order: 59 of 132)

  • One of the most exciting and exclusive off-road vehicles ever conceived

  • The marriage of the Countach SV supercar's 5.2-litre V12 to a functionally, some might say, brutally-styled 4x4

  • Scintillating performance and a top speed in the region of 125mph (200km/h)

  • Five-speed ZF heavy-duty transmission and two-speed reduction gearbox offering a choice of ten speeds and two or four-wheel drive

  • Recent Service, Fuel system overhaul, rebuild rear brake cylinders, fresh MOT (30/06/2020 @ 24,008km)

  • Only 24,000 km (14,925 miles) from new and finished in Ice Blue over blue leather

  • The accompanying paperwork includes sundry invoices, the current MOT Certificate and V5c

The LM002’s birth process began when the factory designed a military vehicle prototype in 1977, codenamed "Cheetah", which featured a rear-mounted Chrysler V8. No interest was garnered, and the prototype was then sold to Teledyne Continental Motors. Following this Lamborghini designed the LM001, which was a more road-focused iteration of the Cheetah still featuring the same rear-mounted V8.

It was then decided that the rear-mounted engine created a number of handling characteristics that were unfavourable in an off-road focused vehicle, resulting in the LMA002 which featured an entirely new chassis as well as a front-mounted V12 straight from the Lamborghini Countach.

Eventually, this prototype was given a serial number and saw the creation of the first example of the LM002. Unveiled at the 1986 Brussels Auto Show, the production version featured a luxurious interior complete with leather trim, power windows, air-con and a roof-mounted stereo unit. During the 1986-1993 production run, a mere 328 examples were produced.

The incredible example we are thrilled to offer for sale was produced in 1987 and delivered new to Italian racing driver Mario Ricci where it would join his collection of other Lamborghinis including a Diablo and a Senna inspired LM002, which he had commissioned for use in his South African game reserve. After Ricci’s death in 2001, the two LM002s were purchased by a family friend and Lamborghini collector, although the South African authorities would not agree to export the cars until 2006.

The car is finished in Ice Blue over a stunning blue leather and wood interior. It has been used sparingly during its 32 years and is showing less than 15,000 miles from new. It's supplied with its original driver’s handbook as well as a large amount of history including sundry invoices and MOTs. The car took part in the 1990 Monte Carlo Lamborghini Rally with the original invitation and commemorative badge being kept to this day.

Some very recent attention (30/06/2020) included a Fuel System overhaul, rebuilt rear brake cylinders, full service and a fresh MOT at 24,008 km (£6,250)

With its aggressive styling, impressive power plant, and luxurious interior, it is safe to say the LM002 remains a highly sought-after classic. One of only 328 produced, this sparingly driven example would be a fantastic addition to any Lamborghini collector’s garage.

2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG (R230)

Lot # 359 (Sale Order: 60 of 132)

  • First registered on the 07/03/2003 and UK supplied in Brilliant Silver Metallic with grey leather

  • Civilised supercar performance sprinkled with some AMG magic dust

  • At launch, the 5.5-litre V8 engine propelled the car to 62mph in 4.2 seconds

  • The service book shows eight stamps, the majority of which are Mercedes-Benz main dealer

  • Extensive spec from new to include AMG Styling Package front spoiler and side skirt

  • Accompanied by all the book packs, older MOTs, service receipts and both keys

  • Presented to auction with an MOT until 03/02/2021 and an odometer reading of some 25,600 (atoc)

Introduced in 2002, after some five years in development, the R230 Series SL Roadster was an engineering 'tour de force'. Painstakingly modelled on a state-of-the-art supercomputer which enabled the designers to analyse every curve and line, it looked utterly sensational with an air of barely contained aggression that gave it huge road presence. Packed full of sophisticated electronic driver aids which made it immensely safe but also fun to drive, it was an instant hit with press and public alike and is widely considered to be the best-looking Mercedes for many years. The power-operated aluminium folding roof was particularly admired and would disappear into the top of the boot at the press of a button in just 16 seconds, yet still leave enough room underneath for 206 litres of luggage space. It was in 2003 that the stunning looking SL55 AMG version was introduced. Seriously powerful and massively fast, the 5.4-litre engine gave 476 BHP and a tree stump pulling 520lbs/ feet of torque!

First registered on the 7th March 2003, this SL is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic with Grey leather and Designo Alcantara headlining. The options list in 2003 was packed full of state-of-the-art equipment and, it would appear in this case, most of the boxes had been ticked. The history file is rather well stocked for such a modern car and includes many main dealers receipts and a service history that includes five main dealer stamps with three specialist stamps. Showing an odometer reading of some 26,500 miles, at the time of cataloguing this car presents incredible value for money and still holds its own against modern Mercedes.

1986 MG Metro 6R4

Lot # 360 (Sale Order: 61 of 132)

  • Purchased directly from Austin Rover Motorsport by the directors of ARTiX Ltd

  • Driven by John Brown in the British Rally Championship with much success

  • Wyedean Forest Rally 1st place, Hadrian Centurion Rally 1st place

  • Full bare-metal restoration over the past four years, now finished in the original ARTiX Livery

  • Goodman 2.8-litre, short-stroke engine. Works Xtrac gearbox with split bell housing

  • MSA Engine Certification. MSA Logbook. Chassis #168. This is an exciting opportunity

This Metro 6R4 was purchased directly from Austin Rover Motorsport Abingdon by the directors of ARTIX Ltd.and was the very first “Works Specification” 'Group B' Metro to be sold to a Privateer Team in the UK.

The car was subject to the new rules regarding Group B variants after 1986 following the removal of Group B rally cars from FIA Homologation. With the original 3.0-litre engine being subject to power reductions, Austin Rover simply removed the Twin-Plenum Fuel Injection System from the car and replaced it with a Single Plenum, thus reducing the power output to fall in line with the new regulations. This particular car has, however, retained the unique micro-chip in the ECU which, unlike other 2:8-litre units, is able to run a higher fuel pressure, giving more BHP whilst retaining the higher torque available through this engine. (This has been verified by John Manklow, the Works engine builder who, together with Pete Goodman, developed the 2.8-litre and later the 2.5-litre Goodman Engines).

The car was driven by John Brown in the British Rally Championship and had many successful results including Wyedean Forest Rally-1st place, Hadrian Centurion Rally-1st place, Audi Sport Rally-5th place, Citroen Winter Rally-2nd o/a, 1st National Granite City Rally-2nd place. Along with a few retirements and mechanical failures, the car quickly became famous in the British Championship, however, due to the lack of development by Austin Rover, the car was sold on and continued to be used on National Rallies here in the UK. Attaining many victories, this particular Metro soon became one of the most successful Metro 6R4s ever, even surpassing many of the 'works' cars with event success.

We understand that Jim Carty took ownership between 1988 and 1995 and used the car on many rallies in Scotland prior to going to Ireland in 1996 where it was pedalled by Damon Cole, a famous Irish Tarmac ace, who used the car successfully for 3 years. After a brief ownership by Steve Furzland who won the 1999 Avon Park Rally with the car, it was sold on to the Gallagher brothers who used the car on Tarmac events in the British National Championship with great success.

Rallies: Christmas Stages 2002 8th place, Wheelmaster Stages 2002 4th place, Hixon Stages 2003 1st place, Lockout Stages 2003 1st place, Jack Frost Stages 2003 4th place, Armstrong Massey Stages 2004 2nd place, John Overland Rally Stages 2005 1st place, Jack Frost Stages 2006 3rd place, Woodbridge Stages 2009 2nd place and Melbourne Stages 2009 1st place. The car then went to Germany and was purchased by Gerhard Pegham who used it for test days. Serviced and maintained by Schmit Motorsport it was returned to the Uk by the current owner.

Having undergone a full bare metal restoration over 4 years ago, the car is now resplendent in the original ARTIX Livery. With all original features kept and restored, the shell has been fitted with new panels supplied by MG Cars Ltd (Longbridge) fitted to floors, bulkhead and chassis rails with new sills and slam panel. The bare shell has been Phosphate-washed, treated with de-mineralised water, electro-coated with cathodic primer, painted with the original Ermine White Gloss and then wax injection treated in all cavities. The Livery has been supplied and fitted by GRAFIX Ltd to replicate the original from the cars 1987 Manx Rally entry.

The engine and gearbox have been serviced and tuned by John Manklow with ignition timing re-set to the original settings.

1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider Veloce

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Registered in the UK on the 18/05/1970 to the first of four owners

  • Very few right-hand drive 1750 Spider Veloces were destined for the UK

  • Late Series 1 with a 1,779cc alloy, 4-cylinder, Twin-Cam engine and 5-speed gearbox

  • Subject to a total restoration between 2011-12 with an extensive photographic record

  • Extensive maintenance invoices from marque specialists Alfaholics come to some £6,836

  • A new mohair hood was fitted in 2015, the mileage is 53,266 (atoc) and the MOT is valid until March 2021

A modern classic by Pininfarina, the simple yet elegant open Spider bodywork that premiered on the 1966 Duetto would prove enduringly popular, lasting into the 1990s. The Spider's mechanical underpinnings were essentially the same as those of the Giulia saloon, comprising independent front suspension, coil-suspended live rear axle, and four-wheel servo-assisted disc brakes, while the engine was the Giulia Sprint GTV's 1.6-litre, double-overhead-camshaft four. The Duetto was made for just two years before being superseded in 1967 by the 1.8-litre '1750' Spider Veloce, whose nomenclature recalled that of a famous Alfa Romeo of pre-war days. Produced until 1970, the 1750 retained the Duetto's 'round tail' coachwork at first, later examples gaining the sawn-off Kamm-type tail that would characterise the following 2000 model.

This rare right-hand drive 1750 Spider Veloce was sold new in the UK to the first of four owners on the 18th of May 1970. It received a total restoration between 2011 and 2012 and the history file includes an extensive photographic record of the works. From 2012, the noted Alfa Romeo specialists Alfaholics of Clevedon, Somerset maintained the car, and the relevant invoices amount to some £6,836. The car was fitted with a new black mohair hood in 2015. Offered from a private collection of Aston Martins and other exotica, our vendor tells us that he’s had his fun with the car since 2018 and wants someone else to enjoy it. With an odometer reading of some 53,266 miles, at the time of cataloguing, this very pretty little car is supplied with a UK V5C, a detailed history file and an MOT until March 2021.

2001 Ferrari 456 M

Lot # 362 (Sale Order: 63 of 132)

  • Supplied new in right-hand drive by Maranello Sales in Egham on 26/06/2002

  • Finished in Tour de France Blue with a superb interior in Nero leather

  • Only 26,508 miles from new

  • Serviced regularly by both main dealers and top specialists throughout

  • Last major service in May 2019 at a mileage of 26,477 (£4,289)

In its time, the Ferrari 456 was the fastest production four-seater in the world. Powered by what was essentially a detuned version of the engine powering the 550 and 575, the new 5.5-litre V12 unleashed no less than 436 bhp and, except for the F40, the 456 was the most powerful road car developed by Ferrari up to that point.

Pininfarina worked its magic on the 456 to create a subtly beautiful curvaceous body contrasting with the hard edges of its predecessor. Aerodynamically efficient, the 456 remained stable up to its maximum speed of around 190 mph. Acclaimed on its debut, the 456's styling has not dated and is a tribute to Pininfarina's vision in creating one of most beautiful vehicle designs of modern times. The 'Modificata' 456 M appeared in 1998, starting with chassis number 109589 and it incorporated a number of changes, including improvements to the aerodynamics and cooling. The interior, still featuring Connolly Leather, was thus freshened up with new seats and other detailing. The updated 456M, which was the last Ferrari model to use pop-up headlamps, was replaced in 2004 by the 612 Scaglietti.

This privately entered car is one of only 139 UK 456M GTAs and has covered just over 26,500 miles from new. It was supplied by Maranello Sales in Egham on 26-6-2002 and has been serviced regularly and fastidiously maintained by both main dealers and top specialist dealers throughout, with the last major service being carried out in May 2019 at a mileage of 26,477, at a cost of £4,289.It comes with the complete, leather-bound original book pack including the full service and maintenance history (with invoices as well as the official service stamps), all the original handbooks and even the original torch!

It presents really well in the metal and should definitely be viewed prior to the sale. The colour combination of TDF Blue and Nero leather really suits the car and it drives superbly with a seamless automatic transmission. Guided sensibly today it looks amazing value when one considers it’s cost new which was in excess of £200,000, just 18 years ago.

1964 Ford Falcon Sprint (FIA)

Lot # 366 (Sale Order: 67 of 132)

  • FIA papers until 2026. Prepared to the highest standards with no expense spared by Richard Moore

  • Fresh from £30,000+ winter expenditure to prepare the car for this season

  • Fresh Peter Knight rebuilt engine with only rolling road use (readout on file)

  • 1st 2014 Goodwood Revival. 1st Silverstone Classic 2018. 1st overall in 2018 Masters Pre-66 Touring Cars

  • Ready to grace any major historic race event at the sharp end

Offered here is probably the most successful FIA Falcon on the European racing scene. This car has been prepared to the highest standards by Richard Moore, with no expense spared, to ensure it runs at the sharp end of the grid. Richard is more than happy to speak to anyone about the car and also to anyone interested in him running the car for them if they are the successful bidder.

Highlight results include 1st overall at the 2014 Goodwood Revival, 1st Silverstone Classic 2018 and 1st overall in the 2018 Masters Pre-66 Touring Car series. The Falcon was prepared to the usual high standard for the 2020 season, with over £30k of recent expenditure. Indeed, the engine has recently returned from a full rebuild at Peter Knight, with an impressive readout on file from the rolling road. Unfortunately, a change in personal circumstance has meant someone else will get to benefit from all the recent hard work.

To replicate this car to this standard with all the development one has to do on a ‘new’ car would be 2-3 times more than today's estimate, so this is a rare and exciting opportunity. Accompanied by full FIA HTP papers, valid until end of 2026, this highly impressive Falcon has been there, done that, and is still ready to run at the sharp end in the right hands.

1969 Aston Martin DBS

Lot # 367 (Sale Order: 68 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Registered to the first of just five owners on the 01/08/1969

  • Bought by our vendor, the curator of the Generation GT Collection, in 2014

  • Now finished in Dubonnet Red with tan leather interior and walnut veneer inserts

  • Looked after and recently serviced by marque specialist Christian Lewis

  • The MOT is valid until June 2021 and the odometer reading is some 11,200 miles (atoc)

  • Supplied in good order, this automatic DBS is offered with a history file and V5c

Although always intended to house the new Tadek Marek-designed V8 engine, the Aston Martin DBS was launched in October 1967 with the 4.0-litre 'six' of the concurrently produced DB6. Styled in-house by William Towns, the beautiful DBS caused quite a stir, Autocar magazine observing: 'Without the aid of an Italian stylist the Newport Pagnell team came up with something as modern, handsome and Italianate as anything from the Turin coachbuilders at that time.'

Beneath its shapely exterior, the DBS employed a platform-type chassis with independent suspension all round: wishbone and coil-spring at the front, De Dion with Watts linkage at the rear. Larger and more luxuriously appointed than the DB6, the heavier DBS disappointed some by virtue of its slightly reduced performance, but the Vantage version's top speed of 140mph and a standing quarter-mile time of 16.3 seconds were highly respectable figures nonetheless. Assessing the virtues of Aston's new flagship, Autocar judged it superior to the DB6 in many areas, the bigger DBS offering four full-sized seats in addition to transformed handling and road holding courtesy of the new rear suspension and standardised power steering.

Registered to the first of just five owners on the 1st August 1969 the car was bought by our vendor, the curator of the Generation GT Collection in 2014. The car has benefitted from recent works by marque specialist Christian Lewis and now presents very well. The mileage of just under 11,200 miles at the time of cataloguing leads us to believe it was either zeroed at restoration or has gone round the clock. The MOT is valid to June 2021 and the car is supplied to auction with a history file showing recent and historical invoices and the Swansea V5c.

2003 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage

Lot # 368 (Sale Order: 69 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Supplied by Grange Aston Martin of Essex in Stronsay Silver with Pacific Blue leather

  • This automatic Vantage was registered to the first of three owners on the 12/05/2003

  • Our vendor bought the car in 2015 from marque specialist Nicholas Mee & Co

  • The service book is well stamped with a mix of main dealer and specialists

  • Part of the Generation GT Collection, a carefully curated selection of Aston Coupes

  • The history file includes invoices, build sheets, purchase receipts and the service book

  • The mileage is some 40,650 (atoc) and the car was serviced less than 1,000 miles ago

  • At this estimate this cracking DB7 Vantage is the perfect entry-level modern classic

Aston Martin introduced the long-awaited Vantage version of their successful DB7 in 1999. Sporting a Cosworth-designed, 5.9-litre V12 producing a creamy 420bhp, the car was super-quick and was electronically limited to 185mph. The V12 had a serious appetite for air compared to its 6-cylinder predecessor, demanding a larger intake and other modifications to the frontal airflow were made to aid cooling. Other changes included chassis and braking upgrades to cope with the increased performance, and Ian Callum enlarged the grille, added fog lamps, and restyled the valances to give the car a more purposeful look.

This superb example of the V12 Vantage with a silky smooth automatic gearbox was supplied by Grange Aston Martin of Essex in Stronsay Silver with Pacific Blue leather interior. It has been enjoyed by three previous owners and the service records indicate some nine services. The current MOT is valid until the 10th June 2021 and the car is accompanied by the original green leather owner's guide including the service records, build sheet, purchase receipt, the V5c and invoices supporting the current mileage of just over 40,650 and a spare key.

Front-engined, V12 Grand Tourers have seen mounting interest from enthusiasts over the last few years and this impressively presented DB7 Vantage with its ageless looks, sophisticated colour combination, service history and sensible "driver's" mileage, seems remarkable value for money and the perfect car for the first time modern-classic buyer.

  • Supplied in Aston Racing Green with Parchment leather by JCT600, Leeds on 17/02/2002

  • The car has had over £22,000 of maintenance and servicing works from new

  • Part of the Generation GT Collection offered by our enthusiast vendor who bought the car in 2015

  • With some 18,766 miles (atoc) the service book shows the last service less than 300 miles ago

  • The history file includes the metal covered service book and reams of receipts

  • Presented to auction with the incredibly rare and complete glove-box mounted accessory pack

Aston Martin returned to the James Bond franchise in the 2002 film Die Another Day starring Pierce Brosnan as the eponymous secret agent. The film showcased the Vanquish's brutish good looks, cutting edge engineering and incredible performance. The Vanquish was built in two versions, a two-seater and what became known as the ‘2+2’ with a couple of child-friendly rear seats filling the space that in the two-seater was occupied by a shelf for a golf bag or other luggage. Aston Martin's first power unit of its type, the 6.0-litre, 48-valve, V12 engine developed 460bhp at 6,800rpm, with 400lb/ft of torque available at 5,500 revs. A pleasing blend of up-to-the-minute technology and traditional materials, the interior was dominated by an imposing aluminium centre console extending from fascia to transmission tunnel. Connolly leather upholstery, Wilton carpeting and quilted Alcantara headlining emphasised its Aston Martin heritage for, despite its advanced specification, the Vanquish was built like all other Astons before it, one at a time and by hand. Production ceased in 2007, by which time the model had been upgraded as the Vanquish ‘S’ and the UK list price had risen to over £185,000.

Supplied by JCT600 in February 2002, the Aston Martin Racing Green paintwork is complemented by Fern Green upper trim, Parchment Lower trim and Fern Green carpeting with Parchment Alcantara headlining. The service book shows fourteen main dealer and specialists stamps. Invoices show this Vanquish has had nothing but the very finest care with over £22,000 worth of maintenance and servicing despite the low mileage of some 18,766 at the time of cataloguing. Our vendor purchased the car in 2015 noting the rarity of the colour combination having seen too many examples of the Vanquish in “Bond Silver”.

The car presents very well and features the incredibly rare and complete glove-box mounted accessory pack which includes a branded metal-bound notebook, tyre pressure gauge, a Leatherman-type multi-tool and torch all in a fitted casement. The history file is extensive and includes the aforementioned invoices and the service book notes the last service on 11th September 2019 at 18,479 miles with an MOT Certificate valid until November 2020 together with the V5C. Further included are a fitted car cover and battery conditioner.

1997 Aston Martin V8 Coupe

Lot # 370 (Sale Order: 71 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Supplied in Pentland Green with green-piped Parchment leather on 12/06/1997

  • A rare member of the Aston V8 family in arguably the best colour combination

  • Part of the Generation GT Collection built up by our private vendor, an Aston enthusiast

  • The odometer reading is some 45,600 miles (atoc) and the MOT is valid until October 2020

  • Serviced in 2019 by marque specialist Christian Lewis with invoices totalling £6,630

  • Fitted with an automatic gearbox, it's presented to auction with a history file and V5c

Launched at the International Motor Show in Birmingham during October 1988, the sensational newcomer re-stated its Aston Martin V8 forerunner's brawny looks in the modern idiom, contriving to be slightly narrower yet providing increased interior space. The car was still no lightweight, but with 330bhp on tap courtesy of the trusty V8 engine's new 32-valve top end, was good enough for a top speed approaching 160mph and a 0-60mph time of under seven seconds.

After spearheading the Aston Martin V8's transformation for the 1990s, the Virage name was dropped during 1994, its place as the 'standard' model being taken by a Vantage-style V8 Coupé. Introduced at the Geneva Salon in March 1996, the new V8 Coupé adopted all of the Vantage's muscular styling cues but retained the normally aspirated, 5.3-litre engine of the Virage and delivered similar performance. The model formed part of the Aston Martin range for just three years and is one of the rarer members of the modern V8 family.

Finished in Pentland Green with green-piped Parchment leather interior, this automatic transmission V8 Coupé was sold new to a Mr Cooney of North Yorkshire who owned it until 2003. While in Mr Cooney's ownership '79041' made regular visits to Newport Pagnell, including one for a repair to the nose under warranty. The car also had a sports exhaust fitted and a Vantage boot conversion amongst other works.

In October 2003 the Aston was transferred to a Mr Kohler of Hertfordshire. Aston Martin Works records contain multiple invoices for work and services up to 2007. The car benefited from the attentions of Aston Engineering, Derby in October 2015. Marque specialist Christian Lewis carried out a service this year and the car was fitted with new shock absorbers. The service book records a change of speedometer by Aston Martin Works in February 2000 at 10,670 miles, a used instrument registering 2,086 miles being fitted at that time; hence the mileage is 8,584 more than the current reading of 45,240, totalling circa 54,000. The service book is signed by the engineer on that date for verification. Further owners enjoyed the car until our vendor bought it in 2016.

It is supplied with an MOT to October 2020 and the Swansea V5c.

1991 Aston Martin Virage - 1,010 miles from new

Lot # 371 (Sale Order: 72 of 132)

You can now book a one to one appointment (up to one hour) to view this lot at our central location between the 16th and 30th July. Please contact Arwel Richards on 07434 960868 or arwel@silverstoneauctions.com to secure your appointment or to discuss the car in more detail.

The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions for arrival and inspection protocols will be given when making your appointment.

  • Bought new in 1991 by a prominent and titled businessman who covered just 993 miles in it

  • Supplied in Suffolk Red with piped red magnolia hide and automatic gearbox

  • Sold via Silverstone Auctions in 2015 to its second only owner, our vendor, residing in his collection

  • Part of the Generation GT Collection the car has now covered some 1,010 miles (atoc)

  • Last MOT'd in 2016 the car was attended to by marque specialist Christian Lewis in 2018 at a cost of £2,456

  • The Virage with its brutish good looks, luxurious interior and 5.3-L V8 engine is coming of age

The Virage was the first all-new Aston Martin for nearly twenty years. The factory had produced the limited-edition Zagato and the V8 had been updated, but the Virage was the first new production car and the first to be produced under Ford's ownership. One major item carried over from previous models was the 5340cc V8 engine, but it had been much reworked for the Virage, enabling it to meet ever more stringent emission regulations. The production Virage debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1991, a prototype having been displayed at Birmingham's NEC the previous October. This immaculate UK-supplied Aston Martin Virage has covered a mere 1,010 miles and boasts only two private registered keepers from new. Purchased new by a prominent and titled businessman from the North-East of England, this example formed part of an exclusive private collection until 2014 whereupon it was purchased by our vendor from us in 2015. The car is part of the Generation GT Collection, a small collection of Aston Martin 'Grand Tourers' that our vendor has carefully curated over the past decade.

Finished in Suffolk Red with Magnolia hide, it is described by our vendor as "in stunningly original condition." The paintwork is flawless and the interior presents as one would expect for such a low-mileage Aston Martin. The automatic transmission selects gears with ease and the driving experience is extremely smooth and refined. Supplied with its original service and maintenance booklets, tool kit and first aid box this car represents a genuine collector's item that has been preserved with care and is in a condition of unrepeatable quality. We welcome any inspection of this vehicle and prospective buyers should contact the office for appraisal options. This modern-classic is the finest example Silverstone Auctions have ever seen and should appeal to any collector of emerging classic cars from the 1990s.

Please note: The MOT history check website shows a discrepancy in mileage and as such bidders are reminded to satisfy themselves before bidding.

1978 Ford Escort RS 2000 Mk 2

Lot # 372 (Sale Order: 73 of 132)

  • Original FOMOCO Demonstrator marketing Group 1 tuning parts

  • Built by the factory to period Group 1 spec

  • Subsequently, privateer owned and used at Club level

  • Total restoration with a photographic record

  • Featured in Fast Ford Magazine

  • Your earliest inspection is encouraged and welcomed

Unlike the Mk1 Escort, which was designed by Ford of Great Britain, the Mk2 was a much more sophisticated design jointly developed with Ford of Germany. Based on a standard Mk2 two-door saloon shell, the RS2000 used the familiar 2-litre, four-cylinder, SOHC, Pinto engine mounted longitudinally in the bay driving the rear wheels. A single twin-venturi 32/36 DGAV Weber carburettor was fitted with the option of a Group 1 dual Weber 40 DCNF or IDF set up. The front suspension used independent MacPherson struts with an anti-roll bar and at the rear, traditional leaf springs with telescopic dampers were utilised. Front-mounted discs and rear drums were used, and four-spoke alloy wheels came as standard. Its biggest distinguishing feature was the droop snoot polyurethane nose housing four headlamps which gave it a rather aggressive look. The new car was capable of 110mph with 0-60mph taking 8.9 seconds, not too shabby in 1976, and which combined with the car’s distinctive looks and that shiny RS badge, set Ford’s showroom doors swinging.

This original RS2000, first registered in 1978 and finished in factory black, has led an interesting life. With the Ford Motor Company as its first owner, XPB 142S was used as a factory demonstrator to help market the 'Group 1' tuning parts that were available from Ford dealers at the time, hence the upgraded brakes, suspension ( Bilsteins and single leaf springs ), anti-roll bar, twin downdraught IDF Webers, bespoke inlet manifold and large bore exhaust.

Its second owner was believed to be a ‘privateer,’ enjoying the car to the best of his abilities for the next twenty-five years in rallies and sprints and picking up the inevitable battle scars along the way! Moving forward to 2009, an enthusiast with a serious Ford affliction, came across the little black RS in need of some attention and offered for sale as an MOT failure. A decision was made and the car was purchased with a serious case of rejuvenation in mind and so the road to recovery began, resulting in what has been described by several Classic Car Specialists as ‘’one of the finest examples in the country’’. The rebuild left no stone unturned, a full-body strip and rebuild followed with attention to detail being at the forefront of the builder's mind, even down to replacing the factory spot welds where ever possible, a total engine overhaul incorporating a new Stage 3 head, new pistons, 'Tuftrided' crank, a new pair of 44 IDFs, new Gartrac rear suspension, Bilstein dampers, LSD, gearbox overhaul and the list goes on! Internally much of the original trim was kept as it had weathered remarkably well but the seats were replaced with RS1800 items for an added air of period authenticity. The condition today remains outstanding with superb attention to detail throughout and your early inspection, pre-sale is recommended. Currently available as the current Ford fanatic owner and collector is emigrating providing a rare opportunity to purchase an outstanding Mk 2 RS 2000 with a tale to tell.

Accompanied by invoices from years gone by, Fast Ford magazine featured article, numerous period pictures including sprints at Goodwood, rebuild pictures, tax discs and MOT Certificates.

1974 Ford Escort RS 2000 Mk1

Lot # 373 (Sale Order: 74 of 132)

  • The Escort RS 2000 was the last car to be introduced to Ford's Advanced Vehicle range

  • Total rebuild by ASM Classics and restored to factory standard specification

  • Finished in Olympic Blue with a lovely interior. Showroom quality engine bay

  • Very rare Green Glass option remains fitted

  • Approximately 200 miles since completion and as clean underneath as it is on top

  • Your earliest inspection is encouraged and welcomed

The Escort RS2000 was the last car to be introduced to Ford's 'Advanced Vehicle' range in June of 1973 and dovetailed nicely with its performance almost comparable to the more complex RS1600, but with the reliability and ease of maintenance of the Mexico. The car used the same Type 49 bodyshell as the Mexico and RS1600, however, there was a new engine in use at Ford, the 2-litre overhead cam, 100bhp, 'Pinto' design, which seemed, on paper, ideal for the RS. Fords then had the major problem of persuading the new bulky Pinto engine to fit into the engine bay, which was something it had never been designed to do. The only way of achieving this was by discarding the engine-driven cooling fan and replacing it with a thermostatically controlled Kenlowe unit. The most appropriate gearbox was the German 'E-box', which was totally different to the one fitted to the RS1600, and the final drive was 3.54:1. The car was launched in England on 11th October 1973 priced at £1,586.

Andy Stapley of ASM Classics, a well-respected authority on all things Ford has been responsible for the restoration of this remarkable RS 2000 to a standard rarely achieved. The car had languished for many years awaiting its turn to be put back on the road and consequently, it had suffered in the meantime with extensive restoration being required. Andy Stapley was commissioned around 2014 to take on the project and, with the job assessed and works commenced, it clearly became evident that a ‘total’ build was required. Halfway through the rejuvenation, the project stalled unfortunately and the RS was put on the back burner once again. Eventually, a new custodian was found and work commenced in earnest. With ASM being the go-to company for projects of this stature a decision was made to complete the rebuild to factory specification and as it would have rolled off the production line in 1974, without modification, which is becoming the norm for so many of these 1970/1980's Fast Ford restorations. However subtle enhancements have been hidden within the vehicle such as an alloy radiator and a Kenlowe fan, discreetly fitted and made to look like the original spec. items. Once complete, and after only covering some 10 miles, the factory-fresh Ford was sold on to its present owner to take its place in his impressive Ford collection.

The standard of the RS 2000 on offer here, is quite simply stunning, from the Olympic Blue exterior finish through the immaculate interior to the detailed engine bay and perfect underside. The restoration has been carried out to a very high standard, panel fit is superb throughout, the chrome work is bright and untarnished, and the doors open and close with a solid thud with no sign of droop or misalignment. Internally the cloth seats are in excellent order and are complemented by superb door cards and carpet set. Even the very rare option of ‘tinted green glass’ is still in place. Having covered only a very few hundred miles since completion, a further period of running in is recommended before the real enjoyment commences.

This Mk1 RS would be most welcome at any Ford event or in fact any other motoring event such is its quality. With so many vehicles of this era receiving partial or amateur restorations, this stand-out example ticks all the boxes and then some. If it's the best that you had in mind, then look no further. All credit to ASM for the quality of the finished article that would be almost impossible to replicate within the sensible estimates guided here.

1971 Mini Cooper S 1275 Mk3

Lot # 374 (Sale Order: 75 of 132)

  • First registered in June 1971 and with our vendor for over 30 years

  • Finished in brilliant Sandglow Yellow with a black interior

  • Fitted with a period-correct Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel

  • Totally unmolested and regularly maintained in an eclectic Mini collection

  • The majority of the 64,163 indicated miles were covered in the early days

  • Only 792 of these cars were built for the home market and consequently are now rare

  • Your earliest inspection is encouraged and welcomed

Along with the rest of the Mini range, the Cooper S was launched in Mk2 guise in 1967. Other Minis had dispensed with their marque names but the Cooper S continued to be available in Austin and Morris forms and the 1275 Cooper S actually made it to Mk3 form with concealed door hinges, wind-up windows and Hydrolastic suspension until British Leyland’s 3-year agreement with Cooper expired in 1971 and the model disappeared with only 792 UK-market examples of the Mk3 1275S leaving Longbridge.

This exceptionally original example was first registered in June 1971 and consequently was one of the very last. It's been with its current owner for over thirty years, forming part of his eclectic Mini collection and is totally unmolested and regularly maintained regardless of cost. An MOT trace indicates that the majority of the 64,163 indicated miles were covered in the early days of its life with little use but constant care in more recent years.

In summer-fresh Sandglow with a black interior and fitted with a period-correct Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel, this freshly serviced and MOT’d Mk3 is ready to go and be fully enjoyed as intended. At some point in our lives we have all owned a Mini but not everyone managed to attain the dizzy heights of Cooper S ownership, maybe now is the time to tick that box.
