14" (36 cm.) Platinum-blonde center-part hair with stylized chignon at each side of face accented with a cluster of lilac flowers. Wearing tagged lilac taffeta tiered gow...moren edged in lace, with white organdy and lace bodice, puffed sleeves with lace trim, purple silk sash trimmed with a floral corsage, cotton petticoat and pantalets with cutwork trim, ribbed stockings, black side-snap shoes with bows. The gown is marked "Godey Lady". Very good/excellent condition, missing wrist corsage, sash may be replacement. Alexander,1949 from the Godey Lady series. Beautiful coiffure.

Brunette Portrait with Jacqueline Face as Ice Capade Doll. C. 1968 900/1100

20" (51 cm.) Rigid vinyl socket head and arms, hard plastic lady torso and legs, bendable knees, brunette rooted hair with bangs, long curls and crown curls which are cap...moretured by costume crown. Wearing custom costume created for the doll in the Ice Capade studios representing a performance in that year's show, including fitted green skating costume with green black bead and iridescent beading, feather-trimmed hooped short shirt, matching beaded crown, purple skates. Very good condition, light spotting on bodice under costume. Alexander, in conjunction with Ice Capades, circa 1968, the presentation dolls were displayed in showcase fashion as promotion for the extravaganza, and it is believed that very few, perhaps only one, of each model was made.

Rare Cissy as Queen Elizabeth from "Child's Dream Come True" Series, 1955 1000/1200

20" (51 cm.) Tosca hair pulled into a coronet at the crown and a flared chignon at the nape (still captured with original hairpins and net), lady body with feet posed for...more high heels. Wearing ivory brocade gown with dart-shaped bodice, blue taffeta sash decorated with rhinestones and ruby, elbow-length gloves, petticoat, panties, stockings, sling heels, original silver metallic crown with embedded rubies, pearl necklace and earrings, diamond ring, and jewel-studded bracelets. The costume is labeled "Cissy by Madame Alexander", and she carries her original wrist tag. Excellent condition, the slightest surface dust on sash and gloves. Alexander, model 2099, with original wrist booklet, 1955. This was the premiere year of Cissy and was highlighted by this presentation of Queen Elizabeth in the series entitled "A Child's Dream Come True".

24" (61 cm.) Hard plastic socket head, very large sleep-eyes, lashes, closed mouth. Wearing an amazingly intricate costume of black, silver and gold threaded sequins acce...morented with sewn-on mirrors, with white fur wrap and turban trim, silver metallic fabric-draped turban with crystal prism and mirror trim, rhinestone bracelets, silver skates. Excellent condition, tiny nose tip rub, vinyl arms a bit dusty. The doll was costumed by the couturiers of the Ice Capades in a miniature model of a costume actually worn in an extravaganza. Alexander, c. 1954.

All composition with socket head, brown sleep eyes, brunette lashes, dark eyeshadow, four painted curly lashes at each outer eye corner, brushstroked brows, rosebud-shape...mored bright red lips, brunette mohair wig in two coiled buns at the back of her head, five-piece body. Wearing triple-layered white tutu with ruffled sleevelets, fitted bodice with shaped bosom, decorated all-over with generous rosebuds and pink bows, net petticoat with two tiers of ruffles, satin panties with tulle ruffle at edges, cream ballet slippers with satin ties, with an elaborate arrangement of twelve rosebuds and leaves in her hair, black velvet ribbons at throat and wrists. The undergarments are tagged "Madame Alexander". Near mint condition. Alexander, from her 1946 early portrait series, preserved in outstanding state with glowing complexion, artistic hand-painted facial features, perfect coiffure and costume.

7" (18 cm.) Each is all composition with painted brown baby hair, painted brown side-glancing eyes, tiny closed mouth, five-piece baby body. Each is wearing original flan...morenel diaper and sleeveless woven shirt, three with embroidered bibs (Annette, Emilie, and Yvonne), and also included are five pink flannel robs. Three dolls are excellent, two have some old bubbling of finish. Alexander, 1935, the dolls are presented in the earliest model of white wooden bed (without name labels) along with original pink-covered mattress and pillow, and with flannel blanket. Also included is early booklet "Choose your favorite...complete your collection of these darling babies by being a good girl. Ma may get you one, then Pa another. Then there are Aunty Jane and Uncle Bill - they will want to please you, too."
