1965 Ford Mustang GT - K Code

Lot # 77 (Sale Order: 76 of 85)

This is believed to be a rare one of 11 car. There were only 3500 GT Mustangs built in 1965 and only 200 of them were convertibles. "Honey Gold was only available on...more 5.5% of Mustangs that year, making this convertible GT approximately 1 of 11 produced. Add in the 46K original miles and this becomes a very rare investment car. This GT is in unbelievable condition, 46K original miles, rust free with a great original condition interior. The engine is matching numbers and is fully restored to factory specs @2015. It appears as if the car had fresh paint then as well. The car starts, runs and drives great. The power convertible top is also in excellent condition. Factory options such as a rally pac, power top, tinted glass and a factory console. The current owner of the car has only added 100 miles since along with it being in a climate-controlled environment since. Sale includes receipts of engine rebuild and other misc work performed over the years. Beginning with the full 1965 model year, Ford made available the GT Equipment Group. Available only with the 225-hp and "Hi-Po" 271-hp 289-cu in engines, the package consisted of GT ornamentation, GT stripes, fog lamps and grille bar and a dual exhaust system with bright extensions through the rear valance panel. Additionally it mandated the installation of the Special Handling Package (standard on K-code cars), front disc brakes, and a five-dial gauge arrangement in place of the horizontal speedometer. This gauge arrangement consisted of a central circular speedometer flanked by smaller circular auxiliary gauges; the Rally-Pac was still a valid option against the GT package. The "K" in K-code Mustangs refers to the engine: a durable, lightweight "Hi-Po" 289-cu.in. V-8, featuring just enough special equipment to help it make an official rating of 271 hp.

1969 Pontiac GTO Ram Air IV

Lot # 79 (Sale Order: 78 of 85)

This is a rare one of 310 made Ram Air IV GTO's with a close ratio speed manual. This car is a frame-off restoration GTO Ram Air IV with only 150 carefully driven miles since its restoration in 2014. Sold originally by Tom Connolly Pontiac in Norwood MA in 1969. This car has been stored in a secure climate-controlled environment. This is a rare original restoration car and one of 310 ten built with a close ratio speed transmission. Here are the factory options confirmed on the Pontiac build sheet which is included with the sale: 4BBL Ram Air IV(400/370HP), 4 SP CLD TRA(Close Ratio 4Speed Transmission), SAF-T-TR-HD (4.33 gears Saf-T-Track differential), Radio-P/B (Push Button Radio), Guage_TA6CL (Rally Gauge Cluster), PWR STRG W/T (Power Steering), Disc Brk: PWR (Power Disc Brakes), SPG&SHKS-R/H (Special Springs and Shocks Package), G70x14 RL FG (Factory Redline Tires), factory hideaway headlights and Trim Code color 57 for Midnight Green Poly Paint. This was a professional frame off restoration with details down to the original chalk markings on the firewall. Painted in the original and rare Midnight Green Poly. All fluids and filters have been changed and the tires were replaced with period correct reproduction redline tires. The interior of this car is original unrestored and in perfect condition and represents that of a car with only 13,500 original miles. Car Life magazine road tested a Ram Air IV GTO for its March 1969 issue. With a 3,900-pound test weight, it ran a 0-60 MPH time of 6.2 seconds and covered the standing quarter-mile in 14.45 seconds at 97.8 MPH. With its bare-bones, lightweight body top-level powertrain, this 1969 Pontiac GTO Ram Air IV is a fantastic example of a bare-bones performance machine. It was about as close to a factory lightweight as one could get in the era after the 1963 GM ban on racing, and with its focus more on go than show, it’......d make for a fun addition to any GTO, Pontiac or muscle car collection. The current owner bought this car as an investment back in 2015 and has only put 150 miles on it since with carefully driven miles. It has been in climate controlled secured storage since. Sale includes pictures of restoration, build sheet, title, owners manual, service manual and extra set of restored Pontiac Rally Wheels on new tires. Charity Benefit: Owner has agreed to donate 25% of the proceeds above the reserve to Make-A-Wish Maine.

1973 BMW 3.0CS E9

Lot # 80 (Sale Order: 79 of 85)

The E9 coupe, as it is known today by its internal designation, has become a highly sought after car that is essentially the post-war standard for an understatedly elegan...moret coupe. Karmann built the body shells for BMW and the car is essentially one of the prettiest ways to creatively trap moisture ever devised. Rust-free and well-restored examples are rare. This E9 Coupe is one of those rust-free examples, where the body was restored from the previous owner @2015 along with a full engine rebuild from Korman Autoworks, a very reputable BMW high performance engine shop. This M30 also has a Schrick cam and triple Weber carburetors. There has only been 1000 miles put on the car since the rebuild. New shocks/struts were replaced all around. The underbody is in excellent condition with no rot or visible rust; however, it should be noted the underside was treated with POR15, a leading rust inhibitor coating. Additional performance upgrades from the current owner include a high performance Pertronix electronic distributor and coil, halo headlights with LED beams and stainless steel exhaust and headers. The car sounds amazing going down the road with a deep European muscle car sound. The current owner also restored the interior including new front and rear leather seats, carpets, new seat belts, new blue-tooth stereo with handsfree mic, new steering wheel and shift knob. Additionally the wood trim on the dash and door panels was in rough shape and the current owner decided to sand the wood down, repair the structure of the trim and cover with carbon fiber. It looks excellent. The power windows all work. The current owner also converted to European bumpers and installed a new heavy-duty radiator. The car drives solid and is a fun going down the road. it is estimated this BMW is pushing 200+ hp due to its performance upgrades. Hagerty valuations show these cars are appreciating rapidly and this one makes for a great investment. Some things should be noted: 1) there is a small crack in the paint on the hood from the wind slamming the hood shut with a jump pack laying inside the engine compartment. This caused a small ding and crack in the paint. 2) there is a quarter size dent in the front lower drivers side fender, 3) there is a paint chip that was touched up around the rear trunk emblem. 4) The A/C does not function right now as it still needs to be rebuilt. The sale will come with the functioning factory compressor. 5) there is no choke installed on the triple Weber carbs and does require someone to sit there to warm up the car. Once warmed up the car runs and idles awesome. A manual choke can be installed inexpensively. 6) The headliner is in ok condition, but to make the interior show worthy, one might want to replace.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Coupe

Lot # 83 (Sale Order: 82 of 85)

This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Hardtop had a full frame-off, every nut and bolt restoration back in 2021. 265 V8 Engine with "Power Pack" (Factory 4 Barrel Carburet...moreor) and 2 Speed Cast Iron Powerglide Automatic Transmission. The trim tag decodes this car as an original '56 2 door coupe with factory tinted glass and finished in Imperial Ivory/Inca Silver two-tone paint and a Black and Ivory Interior. Detailed with Polished Aluminum and Chrome. This car has only been driven 950 miles since its restoration. The professional restoration process spared no expenses, and this shows throughout with the quality of its originality, frame, suspension, floors, trunk and underbody. All aluminum and chrome is in excellent condition as well. The interior is brand new and to original specs. Updates include, rebuilding the Power Windows and vent windows with all new motors, a dual exhaust and Vintage Air Conditioning. Brand new Custom Stereo AM/FM radio and new kick panel speakers. USB pigtail in glove box. New Coker Bias Ply wide white wall tires with correct wheels and hubcaps. Drum brakes all around. According to GM, the 1956 Bel Air received a face-lift with a more conventional full-width grille, pleasing those customers who didn't favor the Ferrari-inspired '55 front end. Two-tone bodyside treatments and front and rear wheel openings completed the "speedline" restyling. Single housings incorporated the taillight, stoplight, and backup light, and the left one held the gas filler –...... an idea popularized on Cadillacs.

1972 Oldsmobile 442 W30

Lot # 84 (Sale Order: 83 of 85)

This low production W-30 optioned vehicle underwent a complete frame-off restoration from 2010 - 2012 under previous ownership. The car was originally tan with a tan vin...moreyl top and it was re-done in Royal Blue with white factory stripes. Metal work was completed using an original 1972 donor car. Interior was also tastefully replaced with an original black vinyl to match the freshly painted exterior. The center console contains the original his/hers type shifter with Hurst T-Handle which is connected to a TH350 3-speed transmission. The 455HO replacement engine has an upgraded camshaft and valve train and it cruises nicely on the highway with a 2.73 geared differential. After restoration, the vehicle won first 1st place at the 2012 Oldsmobile Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa. It then spent the next 9 years in climate controlled storage and was purchased by the current owner in November 2021. The sale includes a photo album documenting the restoration process as well as a crate of manuals, documents and other vehicle specific items that were collected during previous ownership. This 4-4-2 was ordered with the additional W30 option, which included the still-potent L77 455 engine, rated at 300 hp (220 kW) and 410 lb·......ft (556 N·......m)s of torque with standard low-restriction dual exhausts. Other notable components of the W30 package included a lightweight aluminum intake manifold, the W25 fiberglass ram-air hood, anti-spin differential, and heavy duty cooling. Due to the low-vacuum at idle, air conditioning was not available, and power brakes were only available with an automatic transmission. Only 113 W30 convertibles and 659 W30 coupes were produced in 1972. The sale includes a photo album documenting the restoration process as well as a crate of manuals, documents and other vehicle specific items that were collected during previous ownership.
