1965 Ford Mustang

Lot #450-1965 Ford Mustang “......Pony”...... Coupe-1965 Ford Mustang Coupe This Mustang has undergone a complete restoration/rebuild and has been driven just under 500...more miles since completion. The original "C" code 289 cubic inch engine has been completely rebuilt, with a correct Ford high performance 4 barrel intake manifold and carburetor being added for performance. Seller states that all floor and trunk pans were replaced or repaired. The exterior was refinished in Guardsman Blue Metallic with the matching Blue and Parchment "Pony" style interior. The "C4" automatic transmission was rebuilt and the seller says it performs flawlessly. The front disc brakes, bushings and tie rod ends were also rebuilt or replaced. A vintage air conditioning system keeps the cabin nice, cool and comfortable. This Carolina Lady-owned Mustang has been a labor of love for many years and has been garage kept and maintained as required. Lot #453-1953 Ford F100 Pickup. A two year frame off professional restoration was just completed on this North Carolina truck. The exterior was refinished in Ford Glacie...morer Blue (Some call it Carolina Blue around here), with matching Blue interior with a White Ivory seat. The iconic 239 cubic inch "flat head" V-8 engine was also completely rebuilt back to factory specifications and is silky smooth. Seller says that practically every nut and bolt has been replaced or restored and that over $32,000 has been invested in this truck, not including labor. This rare 409 Cubic Inch, 409 Horsepower, 4 speed, Radio Delete Bel Air is being offered by former NASCAR Competition Director an...mored renowned "409 Professor" John Darby. John says that it still retains all of its original sheet metal, body panels, floor pans, trunk pans and rocker panels. The original Ermine White exterior was refinished over 20 years ago. The 409 cubic inch , 409 Horsepower engine was removed, rebuilt and professionally detailed. The close ratio "4 speed" transmission and rear differential were also removed, rebuilt and detailed. All bushings, brakes, shocks and suspension were correctly restored, rebuilt and marked. The undercarriage was completely and professionally detailed and must be seen to be appreciated. The Light Turquoise interior and carpet have never been replaced, restored or even cleaned. Even the trunk compartment still sports its original paint. This beauty has been in John's personal collection for over 15 years, and that it has always been garage kept. He states that it only has 29,000 original miles (exempt title) showing on the odometer and is reflected throughout the car. Originally built by Wayne & Buddy Reid of Abbeville, SC, it mostly ran the Greenwood track in the ‘......50’......s, reportedly placing top 3 in 28 of the 32 races it competed in. It did not do well on asphalt tracks as the suspension was too high. However, on the dirt tracks, it ran circles around the V-8 Ford’......s of the time. Car was restored in 1992 and ran some vintage races, but has been in a collection in Saluda, South Carolina. Car starts, runs, and drives. It has a Serial number and a South Carolina title.
