German WW2 Senior Officer Car Pennant Flag from Reinhard Heydrich Staff Car One-of-a-Kind!

Lot # 1575 (Sale Order: 240 of 304)

A WW2 German Senior Officer Car Pennant Flag, originally acquired by an esteemed Texas collector, who obtained it from the Driver to Reinhard Heydrich (and other Third Reich High Level Officers). This pennant is reportedly from Reinhard Heydrich’s personal staff car, making this a one-of-a-kind piece of Third Reich history.

The flag holder definitely shows shrapnel damage and patina consistent with age, but to us it does not match the pictures extant of Heydrich’s car post-bombing. Therefore, the provenance is somewhat dubious. Still, it is an authentic car pennant from a high-level officer of the Third Reich, and were it to be the actual pennant from his car it would be worth far more than it will fetch in this auction. This is one of the most fascinating items we are offering in this auction, as it could be a goldmine for the winner or just a very important collectible of Third Reich history.

Bulgarian WW2 Royal Infantry Engraved Officer Dagger with sheath

Lot # 1585 (Sale Order: 250 of 304)

This WW2 Bulgarian Royal Infantry Officer’s Ceremonial Dagger features a high-quality, fully engraved blade and crown pommel. Issued to officers in the Bulgarian Army, a German-aligned force during the war, the dagger showcases a traditional Bulgarian design with a decorated crossguard and pommel. The ornately engraved blade emphasizes the ceremonial prestige of the piece. Bulgarian officer daggers from this period are less common than their German counterparts, making this a rare relic of WW2 militaria.

During World War II, Bulgaria initially maintained a position of neutrality but joined the Axis Powers in March 1941. The Bulgarian Army, including its officers, played a significant role in the occupation of parts of Greece and Yugoslavia. The ceremonial dagger symbolizes the prestige and authority of Bulgarian officers during this era. The intricate design and craftsmanship reflect the rich military traditions of Bulgaria in the midst of the world war.
