Great Falls Select 6 Different Beer Cans Montana

Lot # 252 (Sale Order: 251 of 334)      

This lot is for six different 12 ounce straight steel beer cans for Great Falls Select Beer. All of the cans are from Great Falls Breweries Inc. in Great Falls, Montana. The first four cans are flat tops; and the other two are a zip tab and a pull tab. These cans were out of a collection and were the best example this collector found. The two cans with the white, cream and larger sized red Great Falls logo look like they were outdoor cans as they both have humidity and rust spots, the other four cans are indoor cans and are in good condition and could be upgraded someday if you wanted too.

Vintage 1909 Wanted Poster - Joseph Fay - United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth - $60 Reward

Lot # 253 (Sale Order: 252 of 334)      

This vintage 1909 wanted poster pertains to the capture of Joseph Fay, a prisoner who escaped from the United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth on the evening of September 11, 1909. In 1907, was sentenced to serve 7 years at the New York State Prison at Ossining, NY for Post Office burglary. In April of 1909, Fay - who went by the aliases Thomas Murray and Mott Haven Red - was transferred to the United States Penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kansas where he escaped from 6 months later. As is written in red ink on the side of the poster, Fay was captured and returned to Leavenworth on September 24, 1910 - over a year after his escape. The poster measures approx. 16" x 8" and has its share of folds, rips and creases, not to mention some writing on both the front and the back. Overall, the poster is still in one piece and is in good condition.

Vicks VapoRub Masonite Sign

Lot # 254 (Sale Order: 253 of 334)      

This is a wonderful old sign for Vicks VapoRub. It features a little baby with bright blue eyes that play off of their famous blue bottle. The sign is made of Masonite with a printed or painted sign image on the board. There are holes along the edges for mounting. Size is 15 3/8 x 10 1/2" x 1/4. There is some fade and scratches to the surface, mentioned for accuracy as they do not distract from this cute little sign!

Vintage Heidelberg Lighted Beer Sign

This lot is for an original light up sign. It is for Heidelberg Brand Beer from Columbia Breweries, Inc. of Tacoma Washington. The sign features the company's symbolic Student Prince toasting a mug of Heidelberg beer. This has a metal body with a plastic face. Size is 14 1/2" x 6 x 4. The sign looks great with the light on or off. There is a decal on back from the maker The Ohio Advertising Display Co. and there is a pull chain switch on the bottom to turn the light on and off. The chrome frame around the plastic face is as bright and clean as they come with the face of the sign just as sharp, bright and crisp as you will ever find.

Vintage 1890s Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Picture Booklet

 This Baltimore & Ohio railroad picture booklet is a real nice piece of railroad history - the pictures in the booklet are glossy and only one picture has a crease, which has been shown in the photos. The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad was one of the first railroads in America, built to to compete with the Erie Canal by connecting the Ohio River and Baltimore. It was the first line which served as a common carrier.

1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition Souvenir Token Coin - St. Louis, Missouri - Jefferson & Napoleon

Lot # 258 (Sale Order: 257 of 334)      

This vintage token/coin/medal comes from the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition held in St. Louis, Missouri. It is a souvenir from the expo and features the busts of both Jefferson and Napoleon on the obverse while the reverse shows a relief map of the United States with an outline of the land affected by the Louisiana Purchase. The token has smooth edges and is in overall very good condition. Measures 1.25" and weighs 16.4 grams.

Orange Crush Soda Sign from World War 2 WWII

Lot # 260 (Sale Order: 259 of 334)      

This sign is for Orange Crush Carbonated Beverage. It is made from a pressed fiberboard use during World War Two when they had all of the metal shortages. By the manufactures code on back it looks like it may be from 1944. The sign is blue & gold with white letters, all of the writing, shield and eagle are embossed into the sign. This look like it was never used and other then a couple corner bumps is in excellent condition. The colors are bright with no fading. Size is 7 1/8 x 10 1/4".

Lucky Lager Aged For Flavor 6 Straight Steel Beer Cans

Lot # 261 (Sale Order: 260 of 334)      

This lot is for six identical Lucky Lager Beer Cans. They are from General Brewing Corporation of San Francisco, California and are 12 ounce cans. These are early 1960s cans and were one of their last cans with the X logo. In the gold boarder below the logo on either side it reads Breweries at San Francisco Vancouver & Salt Lake City. These are straight steel pull tab cans and look like they may have leaked from the top aluminum lid as there are some spots and paint loss on a couple of the cans along the top, one can has two holes punched in the bottom. All you need now is and old six pack carrier to put them in.

Drewrys Extra Dry 3 different Flat Top Beer Cans

This lot is for three different Drewrys Extra Dry Flat Top Beer Cans. The can with the vanity lid is all original while the other two cans have new top lids. When placed next to the can with original lids both are just a hair shorter, less than a 1/16 of an inch. If not compared to another can you cannot tell the difference in height. So we mention this for accuracy as you cannot tell from the pictures. As with all of our cans please check the pictures provided for condition.

Columbia River Arrowheads Klickitat River - Washington

Lot # 263 (Sale Order: 262 of 334)      

Offered is a nice assortment of 6 Columbia River arrowheads. These were found along the Klickitat River in Washington circa 1960. They did not list an exact location on the river. Size is approximately for the largest one 1 1/8" x 5/8" with the smallest ones being 5/8" x 5/8". These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society also known as OAS from 1955 to 1965 and have remained in there personal collection until now.

1953 Nevada Coca Cola Calendar

Offer is a 1953 calendar from Peraldo Distributing Company Inc. of Elko, Nevada. They were wholesale dealers of Beer Wine Liquors Coca-Cola and Carbonated Beverages. The calendar features the artwork of C.M. Russell with his image of "In Enemy Country". The calendar has a complete unused 1953 pad. Size is 10 1/4 x 16 5/8 there are small tin strips at the top and bottom edges.

Vintage Hakata Urasaki Doll - Wise Man Teacher

Lot # 265 (Sale Order: 264 of 334)      

This vintage Hakata Urasaki doll is of an old wise teacher. He is situated at his desk, writing on his paper. There is some light wear on the back of the doll - otherwise, it is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9" tall by 8" wide and is made of clay much like modern ceramics are made. Bottom of the doll has Hakata Urasaki stamp as well as a stamp explaining that the doll is washable.

Mobil Oil was a part of the Socony Vacuum Oil Company and had several product lines; the most fun of which were the Bug-a-boo offerings. Bug-a-boo eliminated flying and creepy crawly things and was a pesticide for home use. This lot is for fifteen pin back buttons for Bug-a boo; there are four with the slogan "Bug-a-boo Has Me Worried"; five with "Scram Fellers It's Bug-a-boo" and six with "Bug-a-boo Got Me!" Each of these is 7/8" in diameter.

Hoover / Smith 1928 President Campaign Signs

Lot # 268 (Sale Order: 267 of 334)      

Offered is a pair of campaign signs for the 1928 presidential election. In the election Alfred E. Smith was running against Herbert Hoover. Smith was the first Catholic nominated by a major party (Democrat) to run for president. Each sign is 8 in diameter with a background and print design in a midnight blue that looks almost black with off-white design. To the back of each piece there is a small piece of metal riveted to help attach the sign for display. Below the name on each sign is the patent mark that reads: "Pat. Pending - S. S. Adams Co. - Asbury Park, N.J.. The signs have some scratches, dents and dings consistent with age and use. You will get both signs for your winning bid.

1933 Blitz Weinhard Beer Brass Tap Marker

This is a small brass tap marker for Blitz Weinhard Beer from Portland, Oregon. These slid into holder above beer taps in bars so the bartender knew which beer he was serving. The painted side has raised metal letters on a painted background, while the other sign has indented or pressed letter on a plain brass background.. The brewery started in 1856 so with this saying for 77 Years in the red circle this would date from 1933. Size is approximately 4 x 2.

This is an unopened one pound coffee can for Rex Oven Toasted Modern Vacuum Pack Coffee from Terre Haute, Indiana. This is a key wind can and has the key attached to the bottom lid. There is also a small picture showing you how to open the can near the back seam. Size is 5 1/8" in diameter x 4" tall. The can has a few scuffs, scratches and case dings yet still looks great!

Howdy Orange Soda Double Sided Sign

Offered is a double side string hanger sign for Howdy Orange Soda. The sign shows a pair of a straight sided paper label bottle that features their first Howdy Soda label and is circa 1925. The slogan on the sign Don't Say Orange Say Howdy was later used by Nesbitts Orange soda which started up in the late 1920s. This has the same image on both sides, looks unused and is 5 1/2 x 12.

Vintage 1907 Chief of Police Correspondance Letter and Reply Letter - Seattle, Washington

Lot # 275 (Sale Order: 274 of 334)      

This vintage letter/correspondence comes from the city of Seattle's Department of Police. It is dated September of 1907 and is in regards to a slain man that Seattle's Chief of Police - C.W. Wappenstein - needs help identifying. The slain man is described as a "hotel thief" who was shot and killed by a Seattle police officer while on duty. Included with the Wappenstein's letter is a photo of the unidentified slain man. 

The reply to Wappenstein's letter comes from a San Francisco detective who correctly identifies the slain man as Walter Lane, who often went by the alias "Fagan," a name that can be seen written in pencil on Wappenstein's original letter. The reply is also dated in September of 1907 and describes Walter Lane's felonious past, including committing grand larceny in the city of Los Angeles - a crime he was still wanted for.

Both letters are in good condition with normal fold marks and both measure 8.5" x 11".

Matchbox #47 DAF Tipper Container Truck with Box

This auction is for a circa 1960 Lesney Product Matchbox Series No. 47 DAF Tipper Container Truck with Original Box. The box reads "Matchbox Series 47 - A Lesney Product Matchbox 47 DAF Tipper Container Truck ". The bottom of the car reads " Matchbox Series 47, Made In England By Lesney, No. 47 DAF Tipper Container Truck ". The die cast toy is in unused condition with great paint a tipping bed, removable plastic lid and black tires. The box looks unused with no wear, both pieces display very well.
