World Coin Assortment

Lot # 304 (Sale Order: 304 of 361)

This lot is straight from a local estate and contains a mix of silver and copper coins along with the many other types of metals used for coins. A quick handful of coins had a large silver coin from 1817 to one from the Bank of Indonesia from 1978. Most of the coins are pre 1950, with over 125 coins in this lot there are coins from Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Italy, India, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia to name some of the countries. One neat coin is a large silver coin about the size of a silver dollar, it is a 1856 5 Francs, on the back side there are lines scratched into the coin to divide it into eight sections almost like someone was going to cut it into pieces of eight. Just for curiosity we weight the lot and it is over 1 1/2 pounds, there are many interesting and perhaps valuable coins in this lot. Good Luck!
