Lot of two Charlton western comics - Wyatt Earp Frontier Marshal (1966), issue 64 & Billy The Kid (1966), issue 55 - F/VF condition.

All comic books will come freshly bagged and boarded.

We have decided to not professionally grade these comics so as to offer the customer the best value possible on each individual comic. We have done our best to grade the condition of each comic on our own. Most comics very very well taken care of and will be anywhere from VG/FN to VF/NM. Please refer to the following guide for details on each separate condition grade.

VF/NM 9.0 - 1/8 inch bend with no color break, very minor foxing allowed, small amount of cover wear, several date stamps and or small hidden initials allowed, slight staple tears allowed. Minor accumulation of stress lines allowed and some very minor interior tears allowed.

VF+ 8.5 - 1/4 inch cover crease with no color break allowed, minor spine split with some minor color break allowed. Some slightly more noticeable stress lines allowed and paper can be cream to tan but must remain supple.

VF 8.0 - Same as 8.5 but with some very very minor spine roll - must lay almost completely flat.

VF- 7.5 - Same as 8.0 but cover can have light cover soiling and some interior pages can have slight corner tears. Cover can have some corner wear.

FN/VF 7.0 -  Moderate reduction of cover reflectivity - minor creases allowed, minor foxing, interior cover yellowing. Date stamps, initials and store stamps are allowed. Slight rust migration allowed - blunted corners, minor margin tears on interior pages allowed. More and deeper stress lines allowed.

FN+ 6.5 - Up to 1/4 inch spine split or severe color break are allowed. Minor spine rolls allowed and cover can have minor discoloration, staining and/or foxing as well as minor to moderate cover creases.

FN 6.0 - Same as 6.5 with a loose but attached centerfold.

FN- 5.5 - Same as above but with some marvel chipping present as well as some bundling ridges and minor abraded edges. Also light pencil marks possible.

VG/FN 5.0 - Low cover gloss, possible minor to moderate dimples and creases present. Up to 1/2 inch spine split - moderate rolling of the spine. May also have the beginning of an acid odor.

VG+ 4.5 - Cover wear is moderate to significant - cover may be loose. Cover may be faded and staples discolored, moderate staple tears. Up to 1" spine split, moderate stress lines and moderate interior tears. Minor odor, minor repairs and up to a 1/4 inch triangle or 1/8 square missing (must not effect story). Pages can be brown but not brittle.

VG 4.0 - Same as above but with heavy spine wear and brown staining on cover. Some pen and/or pencil writing is common but should not be excessive.

Original Vintage 1971 Spanish Bullfight Poster - Carnicerito de Ubeda, Utrerita & Manuel Rodriguez

Lot # 330 (Sale Order: 330 of 361)      

The artist, Ballestar is a known poster illustrator who has also done many movie posters. This was printed in 1971 in Spain. It is promoting the famous bullfighter "Carnicerito de Ubeda", Antonio Millán, as well as "Utrerita", or Antonio Garia and Manuel Rodriguez. This rare poster has been linen backed to conserve and restore it. It has a few fixed tears, and one spot in the lower right border that has been repaired with old paper. It's in pretty good condition considering its age. The size is 20 1/2 x 37 3/8 inches.

Antique Japanese Woodblock Triptych Prints of Women Firefighters by Chikanobu from 1896

Lot # 331 (Sale Order: 331 of 361)      

We have been very impressed by this lot. It seems that the characters depicted in these panels are a rarity in Japanese art, female firefighters. The artist, Chikanobu, is well known for his illustrations of women, usually romanticized. These characters appear bold and adventurous. The condition is okay, with some discoloration along the bottom, see photos. The size is 28 1/2 x 14 1/8 inches, with each panel being around 9 3/8" wide. The date on this is 1896. The publisher is Fukuda Kumajiro, artist signed: Yoshu Chikanobu.

Krueger Brewing Co. Ale Tap Knob

Lot # 333 (Sale Order: 333 of 361)      

This vintage Krueger Ale beer tap knob is from the G. Krueger Brewing Co., Newark, New Jersey. It is dark green and yellow on black and shows the K man in the center.  The tap is bakelite with a celluloid center and is in like new condition.  The company was in business from 1858 to 1961.  It is approximately 2" tall.

Blitz Weinhard Beer Glass Sign

This is a great 1940s or 1950s glass beer sign for Blitz Weinhard Beer from Portland, Oregon. We have seen this sign in two different ways. The first is just framed in a simple black wooden frame the other is in a metal can and lit from behind. Since we only have the loose glass we will leave how to display it up to the buyer. Size is 10" x 8". There is some paint loss and scratches along the outer edge, on the letter "L" in Blitz and a couple of spots above the word Blitz.

Meerschaum Pipe - Arab Man with Turban Head Bowl

Meerschaum pipes are the aristocracy of tobacco smoking pipes, produced in many European countries. Here is a hand carved pipe that features an Arab man in a turban possibly Ottoman or Turkish head bowl It is complete with a removable stem for easy cleaning. The carved bowl is 2 3/4" x 2" x 1 5/8", overall length with stem is 6". This pipe is fresh from a local estate and is exactly as received. It is used and no a339ttempts have been made to clean it. There is a small chip on the top lip of the bowl. Has nice color and overall patina, show appropriate wear from use.

Burlington Northern Railroad 10K Yellow Gold Tie Tack

Offered is a BN Burlington Northern Railroad piece of fine jewelry. The solid 10K yellow gold ingot with the diamond weighs about 1.6 grams, it is hard to weigh because it is attached to the chain and clip. Both the chain and clip are unmarked. We believe the small stone in the BN ingot is a diamond but do not have anything to test it with. The "BN" ingot is marked 10K.

Bronze Statue - Cupid Sitting on a Rock

This is a nice looking bronze of cupid sitting on some rocks with flowers and plants around the ornate round base. This is a well made piece with no artist mark or signature. It has substantial weight for its size at just under 10 pound. Size is approximately 14" x 9" x 7".Has nice patina and was dusted off but not cleaned. There is no secondary base attached below the bronze base and the bow does not has a string or wire attached.

Maybe Site Columbia River Arrowhead

Lot # 350 (Sale Order: 350 of 361)      

This lot features a single Columbia River point, it has a different then normal shape and may have been a knife or arrowhead. There is a flat notch at the base on one side so it looks more like an arrowhead. It was found circa 1960 at the Maybe Site on the Columbia River. It is a well known Late Archaic to Paleo site that produced many points and tools. This is one of the more unusual arrowheads from this collection. Size is approximately 1 1/2" x 1/2". This was found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society.
