Born in 1951 in Taiwan, Michael Leu grew up in the bustling metropolis of Taipei. He recalls a childhood spent dodging dense, noisy traffic and being transported to school aboard packed buses. Despite the overcrowding and pollution, Leu loved the activity and vibrancy of life in an urban center and longed from an early age to help make cities more beautiful.

Michael Leu held on to that desire, graduating with honors from Taiwan's Fong-Chia University with a degree in architecture and a special interest in urban design. Since 1984, he has lived primarily in New York City, a city that has become his muse.

Leu paints New York scenes in series, rendering each image from several angles and in a variety of light conditions. His work has attracted widespread attention from collectors worldwide. One look at the artist's exquisite, rare etchings or hand-pulled serigraphs (he publishes only a few etchings and just two serigraphs per year) quickly reveals that Michael Leu has truly accomplished his lifelong goal of making the city beautiful.A small gem, nicely priced!

Coors Vintage Framed Light Beer Bar Sign Advertisement

    Lot # 10174 (Sale Order: 75 of 645)

This classic beer sign harkens back to the sixties. Simply stated and elegantly designed, this Coors ad presents its message with simple dignity. The pale blues, greens, and purples, though subdued, somehow remain bold. We cannot verify the age of this piece, but its inspiration is undeniable. It stands in contrast to modern Coors promotion.

Measuring 26 x 13 , this wood frame lends an air of elegance and timelessness to any wall.
