The Meyer Homestead with 5 acres located in the very southwest corner of the property and has frontage and access from Highway FF that runs along the west side of the tract. The homestead consists of a two-story frame house with partial basement, covered front porch with access ramp. The main floor has various rooms used as kitchen, utility, bathroom and bedroom. The upstairs has bedrooms and a full bath. According to the Montgomery County assessor’s Office the main structure of the house was built in 1915 with an addition in 1940. It has been several years since the home was occupied on a full-time basis. Since then, has suffered from deferred maintenance, however there remains the possibility for some one to fix it up. Other improvements include a 32’ x 70’ open front, pole frame, machine shed, and a large tin covered hip roof barn. There is also a grain bin on Tract 1 and some other small outbuildings.
