Winchester Model 12 (26" SKEET), 28 Ga., Pump Shotgun, 238693

Lot # 126

According to the Winchester Arms Collectors Organization serial number database, this Model 12 Takedown slide-action shotgun was produced in 1920. This shotgun is chamber...moreed for 28-gauge which was not offered until 1934, which indicates original 20-gauge chambering with 28-gauge modifications was done later in life. This shotgun is numbers matching receiver & barrel collar and is marked "28" internally on front & rear of receiver collar, as well as the magazine band. The lifter pin is marked "20". The barrel is roll marked: "MODEL 12 - 28 GA. - 2 7/8"/ SKEET". SPECS: 26" barrel, Simmon's vent-rib with serrated top & fiber-optic pin front sight, select grade walnut stock with diamond cut dual-outlined checkering/ fluted comb & glossed finish, black hard-rubber grip cap marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.", brown rubber buttpad with black spacer, checkered cross-bolt safety on the trigger guard, serrated receiver top and 14.5" LOP. CONDITION: This shotgun is in nice condition with very light age wear, has a clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Winchester Model 1912 (also commonly known as the Model 12) is an internal hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine and popularly named the "Perfect Repeater". Initially chambered for 20 gauge only, the 12 and 16 gauge versions were first cataloged in 1913, and the 28 gauge version came out in 1934. With forged and machined steel parts, the ultimate reason for its discontinuation in 1964 was that it was too expensive to produce at a competitive price. Special production examples were produced by Winchester & Browning through specialized gun collector purchase programs, but the original "Perfect Repeater" shotgun was never mass produced after 1964. It was offered in several grades to include: Standard Field Gun, Tournament, Riot Gun, Trench Gun, Trap, Heavy Duck, Skeet, Pigeon and Super Pigeon. The 28-gauge version was built on a 20-gauge frame and was produced from 1934-1960. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

1988 Ruger New Super Blackhawk - Stainless (7.5"), 44 Mag. Revolver, 85-86144

Lot # 127

According to Ruger's online serial number database, this New Model (with transfer bar) Super Blackhawk .44 Remington Magnum revolver was produced in 1988. SPECS: Factory ...morestainless finish, smooth walnut grips with silver/ black Ruger medallion inlays, 7.5" barrel, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, Patridge front sight with pinned ramp, grooved hammer & trigger and 6-shot cylinder. CONDITION: This revolver is missing the orange insert on the front sight, but otherwise is in nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Ruger Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver that was introduced in 1955. The Super Blackhawk (chambered for magnum loads) was introduced in 1959. The early Blackhawk models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. A transfer bar was added to all models in 1974, and dubbed the "New Model". All Super Blackhawks, new & early styles, are capable of operating with much higher pressure handloads than factory produced ammunition in .44 Magnum. The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk is one of the top choices for handgun hunting and is capable of reliably taking down deer, elk, caribou, moose, lion, grizzly or brown bear and even cape buffalo. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.

SPECS: 26.5" IMP MO...moreD/ MOD barrels, glossed walnut stock with deep cut outlined checkering/ fluted comb & round grip knob, engraved receiver with floral pattern, gold trigger, serrated vent-rib with silver bead front sight, tang safety/ barrel selector, dual extractors, black textured buttpad with embossed "BROWNING", 14" LOP and 2 3/4" chambers. CONDITION: This shotgun is in beautiful condition with no wear, has a nice tight action & lock up, has shiny/ clean bores and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Browning Superposed is a Belgian over-under shotgun that was produced from 1931 until 1986. The pre-World War II Superposed was offered in 12-gauge only with the exception of special orders. The 20-gauge version first became available in the 1949 catalog. Barrels ranged from 26.5” to 30” for the 12-gauge and 26.5” or 28” for the 20-gauge. The 1950s saw the introduction of various sub-models of the gun, such as Trap, Skeet & Hunting models. The 1960s saw the introduction of 28 gauge & 410 gauge models. Between 1970 and 1976, the cost of a Belgian-made Superposed more than doubled due to rising labor and manufacturing costs. This opened the door for Browning's less expensive alternative, the Citori, which was introduced in 1973, and produced at the Miroku, Japan, plant. Every Browning Superposed was produced and hand engraved in Belgium. Today, the Browning Superposed is commonly considered the best over/under shotgun design of the 20th century. 1969 Browning Belgium "Magnum Twenty" (28" IM), 20 Ga., Semi-Auto Shotgun, 69X22234

Lot # 138

According to the serial number, this Browning A5 "Magnum Twenty" semi-automatic shotgun was produced in Belgium in 1969 (SN - "69" = 1969, "X" = Magnum Twenty). SPECS: Ou...moretline checkered walnut stock with fluted comb & gloss finish, blued receiver & barrel with floral scroll engraved receiver patterns, Pachmayr White Line brown rubber buttpad with black/ white spacers, gold trigger, 28" IM barrel, serrated vent-rib with silver bead front sight, silver shell lifter, 14" LOP and 3" chamber. CONDITION: This gun is in beautiful condition with very light wear, has a shiny/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Browning A-5 " humpback" shotgun first came off the production line at the Fabrique Nationale factory in Belgium in 1903. The first shipment to the U.S. arrived in 1905, all in 12 gauge. Four years later, in 1909, the first 16 gauges were introduced. The 20 gauge variant, marked "Twenty" was introduced in 1958, and became an immediate success. Although Browning advertised it as weighing less than 6 1/4 pounds, to reach that weight you had to get a gun with a short, plain barrel, and hope the wood was not very dense. It did weigh less than 6 1/2 pounds with a ribless barrel, sometimes dipping down to 6 1/4 pounds, but rarely below that weight unless you went for a 24-inch barrel. Nevertheless, it was a great success and the "Twenty" remained unchanged except for the shape of its grip in 1968, until it was discontinued in 1997. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
