Henry, H015 Single-Shot Steel (28"), 12 Ga. Magnum, Break-Action (NIB), SN - 12SSS03315

Lot # 306

Far too often overshadowed by the speed of a modern repeater, the truth that many already know is that a good single-shot shotgun today can still bring home fur and feath...moreers every bit as well as it ever did. Whether you like the simple operation, the reliable action, the nostalgia factor of hunting with a one-shot shotgun, or the uncomplicated first-gun introduction for a new shotgunner, Henry has brought quality back into the one-shot field gun. Sharing the same action as Henry's single-shot rifle, Their new break-top shotguns feature the same rebounding external hammer and dual-direction pivoting locking lever setup that blocks hammer contact with the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled, and the same interlock system prevents opening the action with the hammer cocked, or closing it with the hammer cocked, as additional safety measures. Like the rifle, there’s no manual safety on these shotguns, and they wear American walnut with a solid black rubber recoil pad on the steel-framed guns. Barrels are black matte finished, with the steel shotguns using a pistol-grip stock. Unlike the rifle, though, shells are fully ejected on opening the action for a quick follow-up shot if needed, not just partially extracted. Brass beads and a 14” length of pull are standard all models. All models also use the Rem-Choke system, so you can adapt your shotguns choke and thus alter its pattern and range so your shotgun can be used effectively in a wide variety of hunting and/or shooting situations. This Henry Steel sports a 28" barrel with 3.5" Magnum chamber and comes with a Modified choke tube. This gun appears to be new/ unfired, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with manual.

Uberti, 1885 Courteney Stalking Rifle, 303 British, Falling-Block Single-Shot, SN - S13246

Lot # 311

By the 1890s, the West had been all but civilized, bringing to an end the days of lawlessness, exploration and Indian fighting. On the other side of the world, however, a...morenother era of exciting adventure had begun: big-game hunting and exploration. Not unlike the Easterners who had settled the West, many British hunters ventured into the unknown of Africa and Asia to become legendary names- and their hunting rifles the most sought after by collectors worldwide. Instantly well-received by magazine writers and individual hunters alike, the 1885 Courteney stalking rifle was named after the celebrated English hunter, explorer and naturalist F. Courteney Selous (1851-1917). Uberti has been making top quality firearm replicas since 1959, and was the first manufacturer to do this. The quality and workmanship of their historical arms have become legendary. This Uberti Rifle gives today's shooter the looks, feel, and usability of the turn-of-the-century British single-shots that were first taken to the colonies. The A-Grade Satin Walnut stock of the 1885 Courteney is quintessentially British. The Prince of Wales buttstock is complemented by a classic recoil pad, while the slim, tapered forend features a contrasting tip, fittingly realized in African heartwood. It sports a quarter-rib slotted rail for a set of Weaver rings and outfitted with a fully adjustable shallow-V rear sight. It also comes with a traditional hooded ramp front sight as well as a barrel-mounted sling-swivel–just like the old classics. The 24" barrel is deeply blued with a polished finish, and the casehardened receiver & lever will stand the test of time. This rifle also sports easy detach sling ring swivels with a safari grade tan canvas/ leather sling. This is in same-as-new condition with no wear to speak of, has a sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with paperwork... The right side of the forearm will have a small amount of a sticky substance in the checkering, this was caused by factory packing and will come out.

1970s Winchester, Super-X Model 1 (30" FULL), 12 Ga., Semi-Auto, SN - M71954

Lot # 314

The Super-X Model 1 is considered Winchester's last attempt at greatness. Stinging from the barrage of post-1964 criticism, in 1968 Winchester decided they were going to ...moredo it right, developing a new autoloading shotgun with no compromises in build quality, using only machined steel and walnut. The multi-million dollar journey began, ending in 1973 with the release of the Super-X Model 1. Winchester designed and built complete new machining centers for the Super-X Model 1, but despite the time and effort, the Model 1 was costly to produce. From 1973-1979, the Winchester Super-X Model 1 was the best built gas autoloader on the planet. The last Super-X Model 1 was made in 1978, and all sales after that date were "cleanup". Winchester was sold to the employee formed U.S. Repeating Arms Company in 1981 which went bankrupt in 1989. Sales of the Super-X Model 1 have been reported as late as 1984. The passing of the Winchester Super-X Model 1 was the passing of an era. It was the end of Olin-Winchester firearms, and it was the end of any new attempts at the “proper autoloader”. This Super-X Model 1 features a walnut stock with deep cut checkering/ fluted comb/ contoured forearm & gloss finish, black checkered buttpad with white spacer, blued metal grip cap with white spacer, 30" FULL barrel, high vent-rib with dual bead sights, scaled jeweled bolt, jeweled shell lifter, 2 3/4" chamber and 14.5" LOP.
