1 Of 9422 - 2006 Winchester, 9422 Traditional Tribute, 22 S L LR, Lever-Action (NIB), SN - FTS7063

Lot # 153

Called by some “The best rifle Winchester has made since 1964,” the rimfire Model 9422 lever action was produced from 1972 to 2004. Engineered to utilize a modified versi...moreon of Winchester’s super-reliable Model 61 slide-action rimfire mechanism but mirroring the look and feel of the legendary Model 1894 centerfire lever-action rifles, it was a rip-roaring success. The Model 9422 was intended—and by many accounts succeeded—in re-establishing Winchester’s reputation as a premium firearms manufacturer. Frames were forged and then milled. Internal components were of top-shelf quality—no pot metal or stamped parts. Stocks were nice walnut and were well-fitted and beautifully finished. Like the ancestral Model 61, all 9422s were takedowns, although that’s not visually obvious. By removing a large screw from the left rear side of the action, the front and rear halves of the rifle may be separated. From the get-go, Model 9422s proved to be wonderfully reliable. Receivers are solid-topped and grooved for scope rings. Because the ejection port is high on the right side, the action is an angle-eject design that doesn’t interfere with mounting an optic—the first lever action of its type from Winchester. This Model 9422 Tribute Special Edition is 1 of 9422 produced in 2006 and is receiver etched "MODEL 9422 TRIBUTE" in a banner on the left side, etched with the Winchester logo horse & rider on the right side and is marked "MODEL 9422 TRIBUTE - ONE OF 9422" on the right side of the barrel. It sports a checkered walnut stock with an English grip & satin finish, polished blued receiver/ barrel, 20" barrel with full length magazine tube, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, hooded ramped front sight, brass tube and brown checkered buttpad. This gun is in new condition with no wear to speak of, appears to be unfired, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with paperwork & hangtag.

Ruger, M77 MkII VT (Varmint/ Target), 223 Rem. Bolt-Action (Bausch & Lomb), SN - 784-43805

Lot # 167

Ruger's Mark II Target Rifle is a striking looking rifle with proven reliability. Key features of the M77 action include a one-piece bolt with a 90 degree lift and two ma...moressive front locking lugs, non-rotating full length extractor for positive extraction and controlled feed, fixed blade ejector, three position "wing" safety at the right rear of the action, hinged magazine floorplate with a release mounted in the trigger guard, integral bases machined into the top of the receiver, and Ruger's proprietary diagonal front-screw bedding system. The generous loading/ejection port provided by all M77 actions makes loading easy to accomplish. The free floating, heavy contour 26" barrel is precision hammer forged with a target crown. The laminated stock has a very tight pistol grip placed close to the trigger--so tight that in use it tends to cramp a medium size hand. In a more positive vein, there is a wide and comfortable beavertail forearm, a straight comb designed for use with telescopic sights, and a rubber butt pad. It also has a little less pitch down than most other M77 stocks. Accuracy tests show consistent 3-shot groups at 100 yards ranged from an incredible 0.25" to 1", with handloads shooting a bit smaller groups than the factory loads. This M77 MKII VT also sports a Bausch & Lomb 6-24x40 scope with sunshade tube. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order.

1 Of 15000 - 1985 Winchester 9422 XTR "Boy Scouts Of America", 22 S L LR (NIB), SN - BSA3824

Lot # 169

Winchester Commemoratives were first introduced in 1964 with the Wyoming Diamond Jubilee. Each Commemorative was issued as a reproduction of an historically famous gun mo...moredel or to honor an historically significant person, group, event or institution relating to U.S. or Canadian history. Commemoratives are generally of very excellent quality and are often embellished with fancy stocks and metal finishes. Called by some “The best rifle Winchester has made since 1964,” the rimfire Model 9422 lever action was made from 1972 to 2004. From 1978 to 1989, the 9422 XTR (XTR = Extra) was produced which was a bit fancier than the standard model. Engineered to utilize a modified version of Winchester’s super-reliable Model 61 slide-action rimfire mechanism, but mirroring the look and feel of the legendary Model 1894 centerfire lever-action rifles, it was a rip-roaring success. This Winchester Model 9422 XTR "Boy Scouts Of America" 75th Anniversary Commemorative is 1 of 15,000 produced in 1985, and sports a select walnut stock with deep cut checkering/ satin finish & English grip, scroll engraved silver pewter receiver depicting Boy Scouts Of America scenes & mottos, silver inlay "Boy Scouts Of America" on the barrel, BSA crest silver medallion stock inlay, curved metal buttplate with polished silver finish, 20" barrel with polished blued finish, silver barrel bands, adjustable elevator rear sight and dovetail front sight. This gun is in beautiful condition with a perfect bore, is believed to be new/ unfired, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with paperwork & hangtag.

Thompson Center, Contender, 45 Colt/ 410 Ga., Single-Shot Pistol, SN - 179574

Lot # 172

The T/C Contender Series is an interchangeable firearm system that is fully supported with accessory stocks and barrels. When it first debuted in 1967, the Contender was ...moremostly a curiosity. The barrels were all below 10" in length, were octagonal, and were chambered for small calibers. They were accurate, but not particularly useful beyond the firing line at the local outdoor range. By the 1970s, the barrels became round and were offered in rifle calibers such as .223 Remington, .30-30 Winchester, .35 Remington, and .45-70. Magnum. Handgun calibers such as .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .357 Maximum, and .45 Winchester Magnum followed, and the Contender was reborn as a highly accurate long-distance pistol for metallic silhouette shooting and a suitable hunting arm in either rifle or pistol configuration. This T/C Contender Pistol System features a 10" barrel chambered for 45 Long Colt or 410 gauge, vent-rib with folding rear sight & pinned ramp front sight, cougar laser etched receiver, blued barrel/ frame finish, walnut furniture with grooved target grip and trigger guard break-action lever. This gun is in good condition with some various light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order.

Henry, Big Boy Steel - Large Loop, 357 Magnum/ 38 Special, Lever-Action, SN - BBS019440M

Lot # 173

The Henry Big Boy Steel was designed with the modern hunter in mind. Built in line with all Henry lever actions, you can count on a smooth, quiet and reliable action. The...more 7-lb. steel Big Boy hangs its 20" round barrel and checkered walnut furniture on a matte-finished blued steel frame that’s drilled & tapped for optional scope mounts, and uses the same adjustable Western-style sights as the standard Big Boy with the same sliding transfer bar safety system in its hammer. Most of the weight savings is due to the steel frame being lighter than a brass counterpart to begin with and less steel in the thinner barrel walls than an octagon version. To make sure the steel Big Boy stays easy on the shoulder, it sports a black solid rubber recoil pad. For hands-free hiking up or down, it wears sling swivel studs, and a rifle-style fore-end cap instead of the usual carbine-type barrel band. A perfect choice for straight-walled cartridge hunting laws with its subdued no-spook-em dark finish and easy-to-maneuver dimensions. This may be the new deer rifle you’ve been looking for. This gun is in beautiful same-as-new condition with a perfect bore (possibly unfired), and appears to be in good working order.
