Henry, Silver Eagle - Engraved Nickel, 22 LR, Lever-Action (NIB), SN - SE008515

Lot # 125

The Henry Silver Eagle is based on the engraved scroll and silver plated Serial Number 9 Henry Rifle presented to US Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles by The New Haven ...moreArms Company. Welles served under President Lincoln, distinguished himself as a political leader nationally, and was one of the organizers of the Republican Party. Secretary Welles was also instrumental in the creation of the Navy’s Medal of Honor. Using original photos and hand drawings of the Gideon Welles Serial Number 9 as reference, the master plate used in the creation of the new Silver Eagle pattern was hand cut for production with full coverage on both sides of the receiver cover. The Silver Eagle pattern, like the Henry Rifle itself, is one piece of American history without rival. This model is built on the award winning Henry Golden Boy platform. The rifle features a traditional 20" octagonal barrel outfitted with buckhorn sights; a gunsmithing masterpiece that closely mirrors its legendary predecessors, the original Henrys when they were patented in 1860. Other features include an American walnut stock, nickel plated receiver finish, brass bead front sight and 16 LR/ 21 S capacity. This gun is new/ unfired in original box with paperwork and appears to be in good working order.

1989 Kimber Of Oregon (Clackamas), M89 BGR, 375 H&H Magnum, Bolt-Action (Zeiss), SN - 890827

Lot # 127

Kimber was founded as "Kimber of Oregon" in 1979 by Jack Warne and his son Greg Warne in the small town of Clackamas, Oregon. The Kimber of Oregon company was formed for ...morethe sole purpose of making and selling its "American Made" Model 82 rifle. While the first prototype Model 82 was actually completed by Jack Warne in 1977, it would take until January of 1980 before Kimber of Oregon, Inc. (KoO) was officially established, at which time shipments of the Model 82 began. In November, 1986, the U.S. Army notified Greg Warne, then president of Kimber, of a contract opportunity. The United States and Marine Corps were looking for a new rimfire rifle to be used in three-position indoor matches and to train military marksmen. The contract would be for 10,000 rifles. Kimber Of Oregon was eventually granted two separate contracts to manufacture M82s to serve as the U.S. Military training rifle. This U.S. Contract helped to revive the then struggling company, but in the late 1980s, the company began to struggle again after private stock offerings fell short. In 1989, Kimber of Oregon was sold to Oregon timber baron Bruce Engel, who founded WTD Industries, Inc. Engel had difficulty running Kimber, and soon the company sought bankruptcy protection. In 1990, several former Kimber employees, including Dan Cooper, founded Cooper Firearms of Montana. In the mid-1990s, Kimber was reformed and today, "Kimber Of America" manufactures a line of M1911-style handguns of excellent quality, as well as rifles. In 1989, the M89 BGR (Big Game Rifle) was introduced. These Big Game Rifles were manufactured in Clackamas, Oregon until Kimber was sold in mid-1989, at which point production was moved to Colton, Oregon. This Kimber Of Oregon M89 BGR was manufactured at the original Clackamas facility and sports a claro walnut stock with deep cut checkering/ fluted comb/ gloss finish & black forearm tip, blued steel grip cap, brown rubber buttpad with black spacer, 24" barrel, adjustable folding rear sight, ramped dovetail front sight, inletted sling studs, Model 70-type safety, hinged straddle floorplate with trigger guard release and sells complete with a Zeiss Diavari C 3-9x36 MC scope. This gun is in nice condition with light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order.

1987 Ruger, Redhawk (7.5"), 44 Magnum, Revolver (W/ Box), SN - 501-95046

Lot # 128

The Ruger Redhawk is a DA/SA, large-frame revolver that was first introduced in 1979. It is made from high-grade steel that is reinforced to handle extra stress, making i...moret very popular for use by handloaders as it is able to handle both .45 Colt and .44 Magnum loads. In addition, the cylinder itself is longer than most competitors allowing ammunition to be loaded to a longer overall length. This allows for either increased powder capacity, heavier (and therefore longer) bullets without compromising the powder load, or a combination of both. Custom ammunition manufacturers even have loads made specifically for Ruger revolvers that cannot fit in shorter chambers or revolvers of weaker construction (such as the Smith & Wesson Model 29). This makes the Redhawk popular as a bear defense gun among hunters and trappers. This Ruger Redhawk was made in 1987, and sports a full brushed stainless finish, 7.5" ribbed barrel, shrouded extractor rod, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, dovetailed front sight with red insert, grooved rib, smooth walnut grips with medallion inlays, serrated hammer and 6-shot cylinder. This gun is in nice condition with no wear to speak of, has a sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with manual.

1999 Marlin, 336SS Stainless, 30-30 Win., Lever-Action (W/ Box), SN - 99013290

Lot # 129

The Model 336 is a direct descendent of the Marlin Model 1893 which was produced from 1893 to 1936. Based on the patents of L.L. Hepburn, the Model 1893 incorporated a ne...morew locking bolt system and a two-piece firing pin. In 1936, with only minor changes to the stock, forearm, and sights, the Model 1893 was redesignated the Model 1936 (soon renamed the Model 36). All of these firearms featured a solid-top receiver made of forged steel and incorporated side ejection of fired cartridges. Compared to the Winchester 94, then the predominant lever-action hunting rifle, the Model 36 was somewhat heavier with a simpler internal mechanism and a full pistol grip-type buttstock in contrast to the Winchester 94's straight grip stock. In 1948, the Model 36 was replaced by the Model 336, which was sold under both the Marlin and Glenfield brands. The Model 336 has been in continuous production from 1948 to the present day, and is currently produced by Ruger Firearms under the Marlin brand. This Marlin Model 336SS features a diamond checkered walnut stock with fluted comb & gloss finish, polished stainless steel receiver/ barrel/ tube & band, black grip cap, brown rubber buttpad with black spacer, 20" barrel, adjustable elevator semi-buckhorn rear sight, hooded ramp front sight and BSA Deerhunter 3-9x40 scope with silver finish. This gun is in beautiful condition with no wear to speak of, has a nice sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order and comes in original box with paperwork.

1968 Sako, L61R "Finnbear" Mannlicher, 264 Win. Mag., Bolt-Action, SN - 36375

The first civilian rifle bearing the Sako name was the L46 (Model 1946) which was later denoted the L461 "Vixen". In 1957, Sako launched a longer action, the L57, subsequently renamed L579 "Forester" which is a "medium action rifle intended for the .308 Winchester and similar cartridges. Ruger, New Model Super Blackhawk, 44 Magnum, Revolver (W/ Case & Holster), SN - 87-56616

Lot # 132

The Ruger Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver that was introduced in 1955. The Super Blackhawk (chambered for magnum loads) was in introduced in 1959. The ear...morely Blackhawk models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA, in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload, and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. In 1973, in order to eliminate accidents occurring from the hammer jarring against a round loaded in the sixth chamber, Ruger introduced the "New Model" Blackhawk. The New Model Blackhawk did not require the hammer to be half-cocked for loading and unloading, and it employed a transfer bar mechanism which prevented the cartridge under the hammer from being fired without the trigger being pulled. All Super Blackhawks, new & early styles, are capable of operating with much higher pressure handloads than factory produced ammunition in .44 Magnum. It is one of the top choices for handgun hunting and is capable of reliably taking down deer, elk, caribou, moose, lion, grizzly or brown bear and even cape buffalo. It combines the reliability and simplicity of a revolver with the energy of the famous magnum cartridge. This New Model Super Blackhawk (with transfer bar) was made in 2003, and sports a 7.5" barrel, adjustable rear sight pinned to the channel, Patridge front sight, blued frame & cylinder, smooth walnut grips with Ruger medallion inlay and grooved hammer. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear, has a sharp/ clean bore, appears to be in good working order, comes in a standard grey hardcase with manual and sells complete with a black tooled leather western-style belt/ holster.

1957 German-Krico, Sporting Rifle, 22 Hornet, Bolt-Action (Leupold Scope), SN - 100140

Lot # 135

Krico (Kriegeskorte & Co. in Stuttgart) is a German firm that dates back to 1878. It started out as a wholesaler of gunpowder, dynamite, ammunition, and arms. After World...more War I, the company had difficulties because both the trading and production of weapons was banned. For this reason, Krico turned its attention to the fabrication of other steel products. In the period between 1925 and 1928, Kriegeskorte produced cycle frames. The business continued after World War II, but still was unable to manufacture guns, as production of weapons and ammunition was forbidden by the Allies. In 1947, Krico was given permission to make slaughter firearms, and this was followed in 1949 by permission to make starting pistols. It was not until 1950 that the company was allowed to make air rifles, and the following year they were granted the approval for small caliber rifles. The production of hunting rifles started in 1954 for .22 Hornet and .222 Rem. calibers. Following this, Krico was kept busy converting former military Mausers to sporting and hunting use. The company developed models 600 and 700 for heavier calibers in 1963. Krico has always been known for making high quality rifles and are still in business today but have few sales in the United States. Krico Rifles are designed from a Mauser-Style action and are often referred to as "Mini-Mausers. This Krico Sporting Rifle is dated "2 57" (February, 1957) and sports a European walnut stock with deep cut outlined checkering/ Schnabel forearm tip, fluted comb & oiled finish, black grip cap with white spacer, black ribbed buttpad with white spacer, high luster bluing finish, 26" barrel, multi-leaf folding rear sight, ramped pin front sight, sling rings, detachable box magazine and sells complete with a Leupold Vari-X 3x9 scope. (Scarce) 2003/04 Winchester, Model 9417, 17 HMR, Lever-Action, SN - F767809

Lot # 149

Called by some “The best rifle Winchester has made since 1964,” the rimfire Model 9422 lever action was made from 1972 to 2004. Its sister rifle, the 9417 was not introdu...moreced until 2003 and was discontinued only a year later, along with the 9422, with very few produced. Engineered to utilize a modified version of Winchester’s super-reliable Model 61 slide-action rimfire mechanism, but mirroring the look and feel of the legendary Model 1894 centerfire lever-action rifles. Frames were forged and then milled. Internal components were of top-shelf quality—no pot metal or stamped parts. Stocks were nice walnut and were well-fitted and beautifully finished. Like the ancestral Model 61, all 9422s & 9417s were takedowns, although that’s not visually obvious. By removing a large screw from the left rear side of the action, the front and rear halves of the rifle may be separated. From the get-go, these rifles proved to be wonderfully reliable. Receivers are solid-topped and grooved for scope rings. Because the ejection port is high on the right side, the action is an angle-eject design that doesn’t interfere with mounting an optic—the first lever action of its type from Winchester. This Model 9417 was made in 2003/ 04, and sports a checkered walnut stock with English grip & satin finish, polished blued receiver/ barrel, 20" barrel with full length magazine tube, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, hooded ramped front sight, black checkered buttpad and sling studs. This gun is in nice condition with no wear to speak of, has a perfect sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order.
