Timed-Event Info

Lot # 0

This is an Online Only "Timed Auction" with a "soft closing" and the only way to bid is through ProxiBid. When lot #1 goes "Live" at 10:00am CST there will be a 60 second...more time clock that will reset every time a new bid is placed, once there has been no bids for a full 60 seconds that lot will close. TWO NEW LOTS WILL GO "LIVE" EVERY 60 SECONDS, the software WILL NOT WAIT until one lot has closed before starting the 60 second time clock on the next lots. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE LOTS SELLING AT THE SAME TIME throughout the day. The best way to participate is to leave "Max Bids" and let the software do the bidding for you. ProxiBid software executes the max bids, NOT THE AUCTION COMPANY, and will only bid for you up to your Max Bid price, if needed. For Example, if you leave a Max Bid on an item for $800 and that item only gets bid up to $400, you only pay $400. If you want to raise your "Max Bid", the software will not let you raise your current bid. This software is designed to work for you, not against you. It simply executes your bids competitively, just as if you were bidding yourself. Also note that "Live Bidding" problems can happen. For example, a slow internet connection or multiple people trying to bid at once can effect the speed at which you are viewing the auction and an item may sell before you are able to bid. So, once again, if you have not left Max Bids as a backup, you could miss out.

1918 Winchester (1939 CC Johnson), 1885 High-Wall, R2 22-3000 Lovell, Falling-Block, SN - 126360

Lot # 3

This Winchester Model 1885 High-Wall rifle was made in 1918 and was then customized by C.C. Johnson in 1939... The Winchester Model 1885 is a single-shot target rifle wit...moreh a falling-block action, designed by John Browning and produced by Winchester from 1885-1919. In 1885 competitive target shooting was very popular in America. Huge matches were held at places like Creedmore, New York. Spectators would number in the thousands. The 1885 was uniquely suited to the long range accuracy shooting of the day. The 1885 Single Shot was the first and perhaps one of the greatest of all the John Moses Browning designs. It was conceived of and created by Browning, at the age of 23, in the frontier pioneer town of Ogden, Utah in 1878. It was also the gun that started his relationship with the Winchester Repeating Arms company. Two popular models were made, the so-called Low Wall which showed an exposed hammer, firing less powerful cartridges, and the so-called High Wall for stronger cartridges whose steel frame covered most of the firing hammer when viewed from the side. C.C. Johnson was a world renowned gunsmith in the 1930s - 1950s that specialized in Custom Professional Target Rifles. C.C. Johnson started rifle smithing in 1933 in Thackery, Ohio. His custom rifles will sport his name stamp in 2 lines: "C.C. Johnson/ Thackery O.", from 1933-1947. Any C.C. Johnson rifle with his stamp on it will have a 5-digit number stamped on the barrel under the for-end stock. The first two digits are the last two digits of the calendar year in which the work was done. This 1918 Winchester M1885 was customized by C.C. Johnson in 1939 (under barrel stamped - "39126") and features a 28" heavy octagon barrel chambered for the R2 22-3000 Lovell caliber. Introduced by Hervey Lovell, the R2 22-3000 was formed from .25-20 Single Shot cartridges, by reducing the neck to .22”. The .22-3000 is capable of propelling a .22” dia. 45-grain bullet at 2,616 fps. with 684 ft.-lbs. of energy. This gun also features a smooth walnut stock with fluted high-comb and beavertail forearm, case hardened receiver, long curved lever that fits flush with the grip, brown rubber Hawkins recoil pad with black spacer, rear dovetail with insert, scope mounts, crowned muzzle and 14" LOP. This gun is missing the original grip knob, but is in nice condition for its age, with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

Lot # 4

The P38 is a 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol that was developed by Carl Walther GmbH as the service pistol of the German Army at the beginning of World War II. The P.38 w...moreas a groundbreaking semi-automatic pistol design, which introduced technical features still used today in current commercial and military semi-automatic pistols. It was the first locked-breech pistol to use a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger. The Walther P.38 was in production from 1939 to 1945. During WWII, the P.38 was produced by three separate manufacturers: Walther, Mauser, and Spreewerk. 1943 WWII U.S. Springfield, M1 Garand, 30-06 Sprg. Cal., Semi-Auto, SN - 2106272

Lot # 5

Over the past 65 years, most M1 rifles have been arsenal rebuilt, refinished, rebarreled or repaired at least once and often several times. Most will show signs of servic...moree (often considerable) and replacement of various parts. They are seldom encountered with original parts and original finish as delivered from the manufacturer. Such rifles, even in well-used condition, are highly prized by collectors. The serial number on this gun reflects a production date October, 1943, which corresponds with the "43" dated barrel, "S.A. / G.A.W." marked stock (Springfield Armory / George A. Woody) and period correct brown leather sling. The M1 Garand is a .30-06 caliber semi-automatic rifle that was the standard U.S. service rifle during World War II and the Korean War. The M1 rifle was named after its Canadian-American designer, John Garand. The M1 replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the standard U.S. service rifle in 1936 and General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". The M1 rifle is a gas-operated, 8-shot clip-fed, semi-automatic rifle that is 43.6" long, weighs about 9.5 pounds and has a 24" barrel. The stock cartouche "G.A.W." is the proof stamp of Col. George A. Woody, who left Springfield Armory in August, 1944, and died on November 30th of that year. This gun is in nice condition with very light battle wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order.

1945 Mauser, French P.38 "Grey Ghost", 9mm Luger Cal., Semi-Auto, (W/ Holster) SN - 6208I

Lot # 8

The P.38 is a 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol that was developed by Carl Walther GmbH as the service pistol of the German Army at the beginning of World War II. The P.38 ...morewas a groundbreaking semi-automatic pistol design, which introduced technical features still used today in current commercial and military semi-automatic pistols. It was in production from 1939 to 1945. During WWII, the P.38 was produced by three separate manufacturers: Walther, Mauser, and Spreewerk. To conceal manufacturer identities, each wartime manufacturer used a letter code: ac (Walther); byf (Mauser), and cyq (Spreewerk). The Mauser factory was liberated by the Allied forces in April 1945. Control of the factory was handed over to the French army which was in desperate need of firearms. Many P.38 parts were still available in the Mauser storage rooms and the French decided to take advantage of this to produce P.38 pistols for their own needs. Mauser used the secret code byf up to 1944 but changed in 1945 to SVW. The last two digits of the production year were stamped behind the code. The French applied a five-pointed star as inspection stamp, which can be found on the right side of the slide. The French continued with the serial numbering system as applied by the Germans, starting in the g-block (the letter “g” behind the serial number). A very small number of French Mauser P.38s were produced with German surplus "parkerized" grey sheet metal grips with copper colored finish, which are now known by collectors as "Grey Ghost's". This French Occupied Mauser P.38 Grey Ghost is marked "SVW 45" on the left side of the frame, five pointed inspection stamp on the right side of the frame and import marked Interarms under the slide. Features include a 4.9" barrel, Grey Ghost grips, lanyard ring, 8-round magazine and sells complete with post-war black leather holster. This gun is nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order.

1988 Browning, Citori Lightning, 12 Ga., Over/ Under (W/ Box & Paperwork), SN- 07661PP753

Lot # 15

The Browning Citori was introduced in 1973 as an alternative to the highly successful Browning Superposed. The Citori is known for its "mechanical excellence" and deluxe ...moregrade features. The Browning Citori has become a must have for serious sportsmen around the world. The Citori Lightning Grade sports a rounded pistol grip that offers a more open grip than full pistol grip designs. Many shooters feel this gives a slight speed-to-shoulder advantage. It represents a midpoint in design between ultra-speedy straight grips and extremely stable full pistol grips. It offers excellent control for whatever you are after - fast-flying waterfowl, upland game or just shooting fun. Matching the rounded pistol grip is the forearm. It is nicely rounded at the fore end and together, they give the name to this over under gun as "Lightning Style. This Citori Lightning Field was made in 1988 and features a checkered walnut stock with high gloss finish and fluted comb, engraved receiver with high luster bluing, gold plated trigger, 26" Invector barrels with F/M/IC choke tubes, serrated vent rib with silver front bead, tang safety/ barrel selector, brown rubber recoil pad with white/ black spacers, 14.25" LOP and is chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" shells. 1988 Ruger, New Blackhawk "Buckeye" 1 Of 5000, 32 H&R Mag., Revolver (W/ Box), SN - 610-03392

Lot # 16

This is a Ruger New Model Blackhawk “Buckeye Special” Convertible and 1 of 5,000 manufactured in 1988 and sold exclusively through Buckeye Sports of Canton, OH. The Ruger...more Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver introduced in 1955. In the early 1950s, Westerns were popular in movies and television. Colt had discontinued the iconic Single Action Army prior to World War II, and few single-action revolvers were available to meet market demand for cowboy-style revolvers. In 1953, the new firm of Sturm, Ruger & Company introduced the Single-Six, a .22 LR rimfire single-action revolver. The Single-Six proved to be a popular seller, leading Ruger to develop and market a centerfire revolver similar to the Single Action Army: the Ruger Blackhawk. The early models of the Blackhawk still operated the same way as the Colt, in that the hammer was half-cocked to load and unload and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. In 1973, in order to eliminate accidents occurring from the hammer jarring against a round loaded in the sixth chamber, Ruger introduced the New Model Blackhawk. The New Model Blackhawk did not require the hammer to be half cocked for loading and unloading, and it employed a transfer bar mechanism which prevented the cartridge under the hammer from being fired without the trigger being pulled. This one-owner New Model Blackhawk "Buckeye Special" was made in 1988 (purchased new in 1989) and features a factory engraved 5-pedal buckeye leaf on top of the flat top. Other features include a 6.5" barrel, smooth walnut grips with Ruger logo inlay and adjustable target sights. This gun is same-as-new condition (believed to be unfired) with very light cylinder rotation marks and comes in original box with original purchase receipt. Jerry McKamy Estate

1918 WWI/ WWII U.S. Winchester, M1917 Enfield, 30-06 Sprg. Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - 180262

Lot # 17

The M1917 Enfield, or "American Enfield", is an American modification and production of the British Pattern 1914 Enfield (P14) rifle (listed in British Service as Rifle N...moreo. 3), which was developed and manufactured during the period 1917–1918. When the British Empire entered World War I, it had an urgent need for rifles and contracts were placed with companies in the United States. In the case of the P14 rifle, Winchester and Remington were selected. When the U.S. entered the war, it had a similar extreme need for rifles. Rather than retool completely, the factories, under the close supervision of the US Army Ordnance Department, altered the P14 design for the 30-06 caliber. Winchester produced the rifle at their New Haven, Connecticut plant and Remington at their main facility at Ilion, New York and at another plant in Eddystone, Pennsylvania. Numerically, it was the main rifle used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I. This new rifle was formally adopted as the new standard U.S. Service rifle and named the Model of 1917. It was manufactured by: Eddystone (1,181,908 rifles), Remington (545,541 rifles) and Winchester (465,980 rifles). Design changes were few; the stripper clip feed, internal box magazine, bolt face, chamber and rifling dimensions were altered to suit the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and the US pattern 5-round stripper clips. The stock was slightly redesigned, lightening it somewhat, and the volley fire sights on the left side of the weapon were deleted. The markings were changed to reflect the model and caliber change. The M1917 was used alongside the M1903 Springfield, and quickly surpassed the Springfield design in numbers produced and units issued. By November 11, 1918 about 75% of the AEF in France were armed with M1917s. An M1917 Enfield rifle was used by Sergeant Alvin C. York on October 8, 1918, during the event for which he was famously awarded the Medal of Honor. Many M1917's were also issued after WWI and during WWII. This Winchester M1917 was made in January of 1918 and was then rearsenaled prior to, or during, WWII. Markings Include: Barrel - "J.A." with U.S. Flaming Bomb ordnance stamp = Rebarreled and rearsenaled during or prior to WWII by Johnson's Automatics.; Top Receiver - "U.S. MODEL OF 1917 WINCHESTER"; Left Side Of Stock - "AAA" = restocked during or prior to WWII by Augusta Arsenal; Underside Of Stock - "P" Proof Stamp; Bolt - "W" "NS"; Left Side Of Receiver - U.S. Flaming Bomb ordnance stamp; Front Of Stock (at barrel band) - "W"; Receiver/ Bolt Release- Eagle Head acceptance stamps. This gun appears to be all original (WWI & WWII period correct) with a 26" barrel, flip-up aperture rear battle sight, front band sight with ears and sling rings. This gun is in good condition with battle wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and is in perfect working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

A. Uberti, 1851 Richards-Mason Navy, 38 Special Cal., Revolver (New-In-Box), SN - X50010

Lot # 18

In 1871, an employee from Colt by the name of Charles Richards was awarded a patent for converting Colt percussion models to breech loading cartridge revolvers. The Richa...morerds cartridge conversion was an instant success. On July 2nd, 1872, William Mason, another employee from Colt, was awarded a patent for an improvement to the Richards model. As percussion parts ran short, the 1860 Richards-Mason barrel was changed from the profile of the earlier percussion model, to the sleek profile found on the 1871-72 Open Top. The 1858 New Army improved conversion was introduced by Remington in circa 1873 with special factory installed two-piece cylinder, leaving the loading lever and adding an ejector. The combination of the design patented by Richards and the cartridge system patented by Mason is known as the Richards-Mason conversion. The characteristics that identify this model are: the rear ring without sight and with a cleft to allow the hammer to hit the cartridge and the special barrel made for the Richards-Mason project. Using superior quality forged steel, state-of-the-art technology and high precision machine tools, combined with the centuries-old skills of polishers, engravers and stockers. A. Uberti has re-created this historical firearm with the same loving care with which the originals were crafted all those centuries ago. Features include a 7.5" octagon barrel, polymer ivory grips, engraved cylinder with Naval Battle scene, case hardened frame/ hammer and brass front sight. This gun is in new condition (believed to be unfired) and comes in original box with paperwork. Jerry McKamy Estate

1933 Winchester, Model 42 (1941 Barrel), 410 Ga., Pump, SN - 6072

Lot # 19

The first pump-action shotgun designed specifically for the .410 was introduced by Winchester in 1933 as the Model 42. A scaled-down version of Winchester’s classic Model...more 12 pump-action shotgun, the Model 42 was a sweet little scattergun that holds top value to collectors. About 164,800 were produced in a variety of grades and barrel configurations. Marketed as "Everybody’s Sweetheart," as well as "The Greatest Little Shotgun in the World," the sleek, racy, fast-handling Model 42 was a hit with upland hunters and skeet shooters. The Model 42 stayed in the lineup until 1963, a famous year in the company’s history, when rising production costs led to changes in manufacturing processes, which led to the "pre-64" and "post-64" categories of all Winchester firearms. This model 42 was made in 1933 (SN- 6072) and sports a 28" solid rib 3" FULL barrel made in 1941 (SN- 45755). Other features include a smooth walnut stock with fluted comb and ribbed forearm, black checkered butt pad, silver bead front sight and 14.25" LOP. This gun is showing some various wear but is in excellent working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

1965 Ruger, Original Single-Six, 22 LR Cal., Revolver, SN - 413154

Lot # 20

The Ruger Single-Six is a six-shot, single-action rimfire revolver that was introduced in 1953. The early models (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA in...more that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. In 1973, in order to eliminate accidents occurring from the hammer jarring against a round loaded in the sixth chamber, Ruger introduced the New Model Single-Six. The New Model did not require the hammer to be half cocked for loading and unloading, and it employed a transfer bar mechanism which prevented the cartridge under the hammer from being fired without the trigger being pulled. This "Original" Single-Six was made in 1965 and does not have a transfer bar mechanism. Features include a 6.5" barrel, smooth walnut grips with Ruger Logo inlay, flat top with rear dovetail sight and front blade sight. This gun is in original condition with some various wear, has an excellent sharp/clean bore and is in perfect working order. Jerry McKamy Estate

1942 WWII U.S. Remington, M1903, 30-06 Sprg. Cal., Bolt-Action, SN - 3338207

Lot # 21

Few arms have served the U.S. military as long or as well as the famed "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, Model 1903." For generations of American servicemen and arms enthusiasts,...more the M1903 has gained an enviable reputation as one of the best bolt-action military rifles of all time. The M1903 was manufactured by Springfield Armory at varying levels of production from 1903 until the late 1930s and at Rock Island Arsenal from 1903 until 1913 and again from 1917 until just after World War I. Even though large numbers of M1917 "American Enfields" were manufactured and issued during World War I to supplement the supply of M1903s, the "Springfield 1903" remained the standard U.S. military service rifle until the adoption of the semi-automatic M1 Garand rifle in 1936. Even after the adoption of the M1, however, the 1903 remained the primary American service rifle until production of the Garand could meet the demand. In 1941, with the U.S. being pulled into WWII, the U.S. Ordnance Department immediately contracted with Remington for M1903 rifles in order to arm the rapidly expanding U.S. armed forces. After the attack on Pearl Harbor the initial order for 134,000 rifles from Remington was increased to 308,000 and again raised to 508,000, with a target production rate of 2,000 rifles per day. This U.S. Remington Model 1903 was made in 1942 and was re-equipped with a new High Standard barrel during the war in 1944 (24"). Barrel is marked "HS 11-44" with U.S. Flaming Bomb acceptance stamp and "P" proof stamp. Features include a smooth walnut stock, adjustable flip up rear battle sight, dovetail front blade sight, checkered metal butt plate with cleaning rod compartment, bayonet lug and sling rings. This gun is in nice condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/clean bore and is in perfect working order.
