(Rare) 1964 Remington, Nylon 12 (24" barrel), 22 S L LR Cal., Bolt-Action

Lot # 246

Most people know about the Remington Nylon 66 series of semi-automatic .22 rifles, made from 1959 to 1989 in several versions, which were one of the earliest mass-produce...mored rifles to feature a stock made from a material other than wood. But, Remington also manufactured some nylon-stocked bolt action rifles which were only produced from 1962 to 1964. It was fitted with a 6-shot metal detachable magazine with a butter-knife Mannlicher-style bolt handle, with a total of 22,423 produced. In late 1962, the Nylon 12 was put on the market. It was a tube-fed 14-round repeater with the tube under the barrel, and it's production quantity was 27,551. The Nylon series rifles sported 19.5" barrels, but in 1964, a very small number of long-barreled (24" barrel) Nylon 12s were made. The Quantity of the rare 24" barrel Nylon 12 is unknown. This rare 1964 Nylon 12 with a 24" barrel features a Mohawk brown checkered nylon stock with white diamond forearm, black grip cap with white spacer, black forearm cap with white spacer, black ribbed butt pad with white spacer, chrome spoon-style bolt handle, chrome trigger, adjustable v-notch rear sight, ramped blade front sight, grooved receiver, Weaver scope mount and sells complete with period correct Crossman 4x15 scope. Ruger, Super Redhawk 9.5", 44 Rem. Magnum Cal., Revolver (Shoulder Holster), SN - 550-65959

Lot # 265

The Ruger Super Redhawk is an incredibly strong Double-Action Revolver that can take unrelenting punishment from the world's most powerful, heavy recoiling handgun cartri...moredges and keep functioning with the reliability one can depend on in life threatening situations. Over the years it has earned a reputation as the premier handgun for serious big game hunting. The Ruger Super Redhawk is designed with an extended frame that provides extra metal on the top strap, sidewalls, and barrel mounting areas to handle the high pressures of big game loads. To withstand heavy recoil, the triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom so it stays aligned without getting sloppy over time. The extended main frame also has scope mounts machined directly into it, serving as a base to attach the included Ruger scope rings. The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and the ramp front sight is easily seen while providing minimal interference when drawing the gun from a holster. The angle of the Super Redhawk's peg-style grip frame, and the recoil cushioning Hogue Tamer Monogrip, greatly absorb recoil and allow the shooter to stay on target for follow-up shots, while firing the revolver in double-action mode. The Ruger Redhawk has a smooth double-action trigger pull, and a clean, crisp break in single-action. Stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance, and low maintenance in the backcountry. As with all Ruger Double-Action Revolvers, the Redhawk features the patented Ruger transfer bar mechanism that provides an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge—the revolver can be dropped directly on its hammer and will not fire without the trigger being pulled all the way to the back. The Ruger Super Redhawk Double-Action Revolver is a perfect sidearm to carry for bear protection and is ideal for long range target shooting. This Super Redhawk sports a 9.5" barrel, 6-shot fluted swing-out cylinder, sells complete with Tasco 2x20 scope and comes with Uncle Mikes black nylon vertical shoulder holster. This gun is in excellent condition with a sharp/clean bore and is in perfect working order.

1985 Ruger, New Model Super Blackhawk 10.5", 44 Rem. Mag., Revolver (New-In-Box), SN - 85-06875

Lot # 267

The Ruger Blackhawk is a six-shot, single-action revolver that was introduced in 1955. The Super Blackhawk (chambered for magnum loads) was in introduced in 1959. The ear...morely models Blackhawk (pre-1974) still operated the same way as the Colt SAA, in that the hammer was half cocked to load and unload and that the firearm was not safe to carry with all six chambers loaded due to the hammer resting upon the sixth chamber. In 1973, in order to eliminate accidents occurring from the hammer jarring against a round loaded in the sixth chamber, Ruger introduced the New Model Blackhawk. The New Model Blackhawk did not require the hammer to be half-cocked for loading and unloading, and it employed a transfer bar mechanism which prevented the cartridge under the hammer from being fired without the trigger being pulled. All Super Blackhawks, new & early styles, are capable of operating with much higher pressure handloads than factory produced ammunition in .44 Magnum. It is one of the top choices for handgun hunting and is capable of reliably taking down deer, elk, caribou, moose, lion, grizzly or brown bear and even cape buffalo. It combines the reliability and simplicity of a revolver with the energy of the famous magnum cartridge. This New Model Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum (also accepts factory .44 Special cartridges) was made in 1985 and features a full stainless construction, 10.5" barrel, flat-top receiver with adjustable rear sight, ramped front sight, serrated hammer/ trigger and smooth walnut grips with Ruger Logo medallion inlays. 1978 Ruger, New Model Single-Six Convertible, 22 LR/ Mag, Revolver (Box & Paperwork), SN - 66-58892

Lot # 273

The Ruger Single-Six is a single-action six-shot 22 rimfire revolver first released in June 1953. In the early 1950s, westerns were popular in movies and television. Colt...more had discontinued the iconic Single Action Army prior to World War II, and few single-action revolvers were available to meet market demand for cowboy-style revolvers. In 1953, the new firm of Sturm, Ruger & Company introduced the Single-Six. Prior to 1973, the Single-Six was produced without the transfer bar mechanism, making it less safe to carry with all six chambers loaded and with the hammer resting on a loaded chamber. In 1973 Ruger updated all of their single-action revolvers with a transfer bar. The transfer bar safety allows the revolver to fire only when the trigger has been pulled. This updated model was called the "New Model" Single-six. Ruger offered the Single-Six in "Convertible Models" that shipped with both a .22 LR cylinder and .22 WMR cylinder, allowing the use of both cartridges. This New Model Single-Six Convertible was made in 1978, comes with 22 LR & 22 WMR cylinders and features a 5.5" barrel, flat-top receiver with adjustable rear sight, ramped front sight, smooth walnut grips with Ruger Logo medallion inlays and serrated hammer. This gun is in excellent condition with very light wear, has a sharp/clean bore, is in perfect working order and comes in original box with paperwork.
