Oak Mills Violano serial number 1797. Good restoration candidate. It has its original violin which is market Mills Novelty Company on the paper label inside the violin. There are no strings present, otherwise the violin appears to be in good condition. The tuning weights and arms are present but appear to be reproductions. Oak cabinet has original front bifold doors and beveled glass and hardware, One of the front columns is missing a capital - see photos. Has original coin mechanism. The coin box and front cover are older reproductions. The sounding board appears to be in good condition with no visible cracks. The cast iron harp is free of any cracks, the piano action appears to have been reconditioned as well as the piano having been re-strung some time ago. The oak cabinet appears to have been professionally refinished. There are several minor nicks and scrapes and some veneer damage on the edges of the top cover. The roll-frame motor/generator and governor are all present. The contact roller is also present, but detached. This machine is not in playing condition and in need of restoration. 64"H x 42"W x 30" D

This machine with its oak cabinet and cover has its original finish and decal. The top cover has a few minor chips, dings and minor finish loss but in otherwise average condition. This model B mechanism has a 2/4 minute gear conversion and comes with two reproducers. Has a model H reproducer with a good stylus and a model C reproducer with a good stylus. Carriage and mandrill move freely. Upper mech and bed plate have their original black paint and pinstripes in average condition with the usual wear. Has its original winding crank and the moor winds and runs. Also included is a large after market original horn support with its original nickel plating with lots of rust. See photos. Also included is a 31" L eleven panel after market hand painted decorated horn. The horn inside features yellow and white pansies with green leaves on a candy apple red background with a white and yellow shaded throat. The inside of the horn is in reasonably good condition with a few wrinkles and some rust. The outside of the horn has slightly more rust and scrapes and abrasions with some paint loss. See photos. Cabinet and cover measure 16-1/2" X 9" X 12-1/2" T.

The interior of the horn is decorated with transfers depicting roses with green leaves against a blue background with a pink, white and yellow shaded throat. Has metal reinforcing corners all of which are in good condition. Inside the top cover is an original paper label featuring the makers address as well as program titles which are in English See photos This program card is water stained but in otherwise good condition. The mechanism appears to be quite clean with evidence of recent rebuilding and In good playing condition and plays loud and strong. .The machine is fitted to a period correct cart which appears to have been a steel baby buggy chassis with spoke wheels in good condition. Case measures 19-1/2" X 10-1/2" X 18-1/2" T. Overall height with cart is 40-1/2" T. A welcome addition to any collection. A nice example of a desirable machine.

Original decals and celluloid tags on sounding board. Overall a very nice original box. Measures 12"t x 20.5"w x 18"d.
