Smith & Wesson Schofield Single-Action Revolver - Antique

Lot # 1 (Sale Order: 2 of 335)

An ex-US Army Smith & Wesson Schofield .45 caliber revolver with a cut-down 3" barrel. U.S. Military marked with nice original grips. Bore is fair, finish is mostly patina, action works fine. The old expression "If this gun could talk..." - this one's story is that is was acquired from an old-gunfighter in Mexico by a old African-American cowboy...might be true! Very neat Old West gun comes with a worn vintage holster.

E.G. Steis of the Chemical Warfare Service. An excellent grouping in very good condition. Pistol has 80% blue finish, very good grips, and a fair to good bore. "Pancho Villa" Colt M1911 .45 ACP Pistol - FFL # C4326

Lot # 6 (Sale Order: 7 of 335)

This worn commercial Colt was supposedly captured during the Mexican Punitive Expedition and comes with a Colt Certificate of Authenticity stating this was one of 12 sold to the German firm of Korff, Hansberg and Co of Mexico City in 1913. It has approximately 50% blue finish with balance patina and some pitting, slightly worn grips, nice two-tone magazine and a later replaced barrel with a very good bore. Interesting piece of Mexican-American history - many of these 1911s were carried by Villa's lieutenants

US Navy WWI M1911 .45 ACP Pistol - FFL # 12726

Lot # 7 (Sale Order: 8 of 335)

This is a RARE Colt 1911 US Navy contract semiautomatic pistol. All the lettering is clear and crisp and the bluing is 80% with scattering rust mottling but no real pitting. All the parts are original and it's mechanically functional and tight. The gun was produced in 1912 as evidenced by it's 5 digit serial number (12726) and went to the Navy in a lot of 1000. One of only 15,037 pistols supplied to the Navy with the identifying mark on the slide "Model of 1911 U.S. Navy". Caliber of course is 45 ACP with a 5" barrel. Bore is fair. Some research leads us to believe this 1911 might have been forwarded to the US Coast Guard. These Navy's are extremely hard to find and would make an outstanding addition to any collection/investment.

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 15 of 335)

Such long-barrel Lugers were extremely popular during this period and this example is in very good condition with a very good bore. Like many such pistols, numbers are mis-matched as is the wood-bottom magazine.
