Vintage Ice Cream Scoop - Hamilton Beach Disher #31 Size 16 - Complete w/ Original Box

Lot # 176 (Sale Order: 176 of 361)      

This scoop was produced right after Gilchrist merged with Hamilton Beach and has a n NRA sticker on the box. The box also says "Formerly Gilchrist #31 Short Shank." They seemed to continue the same quality of scoop over the years as current scoops of the same size and stature appear exactly as this Gilchrist scoop with the Hamilton Beach name. This scoop is made of nickel-plated brass. The box is in rough shape, but it is all there and still legible. Box measures 10.5" x 3" x 1.5".

Vintage Poster for Lucien Mortarelli and his Orchestra from 1947 -gypsy jazz accordian music

This is a great old French poster advertising a live musical performance. There are great historical themes of  jazz and gypsy music. -great art deco style. The poster is beautifully printed in that old-style lithography, so the colors appear very rich. The condition is very good considering it's age. It has not been lined or restored. The size on this is 47 1/8" x 31 5/8" inches. It will be shipped rolled.

Schafer & Vater Brown Drinkometer Flask w/ Stopper - "Use It Daily You'll Live Gaily"

This brown Schafer & Vater flask comes complete with the drinkometer on the front and the stopper, which is the top of the man's hat. It features the inscription "DRINKOMETER" on the bottom front as well as "Use it daily You'll live gaily" on the back. The back of the flask is also inscribed with the numbers "2962." Measures approx. 7" tall by 3" wide.

Civil War era Meerschaum Cheroot Holder - Pipe - Soldier

Lot # 179 (Sale Order: 179 of 361)      

This is a terrific Civil War era Meerschaum carved pipe/cheroot holder showing a soldier head with his well carved cap, beard and mustache. The piece itself is most likely circa late 1800s based on the style and the original case. The case has worn leather with white interior. The pipe has an amber stem, it is very tight and would no come unscrewed. The carved area is 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1", overall length with stem is 4". This pipe is fresh from a local estate and is exactly as received. It is used and no attempts have been made to clean it.

Civil War-era Drummer's Sword - 1863 - Emerson & Silver - Trenton, N.J.

Tavern Fun - Store Display - Tricks, Novelties and Jokes!

Lot # 182 (Sale Order: 182 of 361)      

This full unused display was found in an old vending supply company about 25 years ago. They were up behind some other items and simply missed for 30 or 40 years. We opened up one of the small boxes at random and it has a Novelty Western Pin of a very ornate western saddle inside with its original instruction sheet and card. There are a total of 12 smaller boxes inside the larger display box. We have not opened any of the other boxes, so who knows what you may find in them! The outer box is 9 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 2 1/2". We hope you'll have some fun with these. The top lid folds back to become part of the display.

Antique Nestle's Milk Poster with Original Guache Over-Painting -Vintage Art Nouveau Victorian

This gem of a poster is very unusual in that a very talented artist of the period painted intricate details over the lead train car, see photo detail (the paint is quache and therefore reverseable). The artist is unknown to us. This poster is very rare. The style of illustration and printing would date it at around 1897. The size is 25 x 16 3/4 inches. It has been linen-backed with big borders. Vintage 1938 Orphan Annie's Cold Ovaltine Shake-Up Mug Radio Premium - Light Blue

Lot # 186 (Sale Order: 186 of 361)      

In 1938, Ovaltine came out with Orphan Annie shake-up mugs as a radio premium. These mugs came in a few different colors - the one up for auction is light blue with an orange top. The mug features a decal of Orphan Annie singing the praises of drinking your Ovaltine to a group consisting of Ovaltine, ice, milk and sugar while her dog Sandy looks on, barking in approval. The mug is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The bottom of the mug bears the mark "'Beetleware' Manufactured exclusively for the Wander Co., Chicago Makers of Ovaltine."Measures 4.5" tall x 3" in diameter.

Cherub Lamp with Millefiori Art Glass Shade

This lamp and shade are circa 1970. The heavy metal base features a cherub holding a vase on his shoulder and has four claw feet. The base is approximately 6 5/8" x 6 5/8" at the base x 13" tall with the shade the lamp is 10" in diameter x 20 1/2" tall. The lamp shade is hand made Millefiori glass and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.

1946 Rose Bowl Lot

Lot # 192 (Sale Order: 192 of 361)      

This lot is for two items from the 1946 Rose Bowl. First is a ticket Stub for the game. The second item is a souvenir postcard set of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. It features a color pull out showing many of the floats in the parade. It is approximately 6 1/2 x 4 1/4". Playing in the game were Alabama against USC. The Rose Bowl boasted a record crowd of 94,000 that day as Alabama defeated USC 34 to 14. This was the last time Alabama played in the Rose Bowl as The Tournament of Roses struck a deal in 1947 to play only the champions of the Pacific Coast and Big Ten conferences.

Here is a chance to get four different flat top beer cans all in one lot. They start with an IRTP can end with a zip top can. All are Highlander Beer from both Missoula Brewing Company of Missoula, Montana and the zip tab can is from Seattle, Washington and was the last can they produced. The cans are all clean indoor cans and may have flaws, such as scratches, dents, dings and such, the flat paint with checkered design has a small nail hole near the top rim. Great Falls Select Beer Light Up Cowboy Sign

This is one of the neatest looking Great Falls Beer Signs we have ever seen! It is an electric light up sign that features the cowboy . They used him in most of their advertising including signs, cans and bottles in the 1950s. The sign is unique in that it could be hung on the wall or placed on a counter. There is a collapsible metal easel on the back of the sign. Condition is incredible, it looks like it was never used. Size is 18 1/2" x 12 1/2" x 3" or 7" with the easel opened. You will not be disappointed with this sign!

Ivory Alabaster Collector Plate - Benvenuti's Muses - "EUTERPE The Muse of Music"

Lot # 195 (Sale Order: 195 of 361)      

Euterpe is number 4 of 4 in Benvenuti's Muses series of collector plates, they are from the Studio Dante di Volterdici. Hand cast and finished in Ivory Alabaster. The plate is three dimensional and measures 8 1/2" in diameter with a depth of 1 1/4". It is rather heavy at 3.2 pounds. Back features a brass colored description plate and self-hanging ring. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.

California Gold Collection - Ore & Nuggets

Lot # 196 (Sale Order: 196 of 361)      

This is a great little collection of California gold. For the most part it was gathered and put together in Calavaras County California in the 1950s. There are three gold samples in this collection the first being a piece of gold bearing quartz that is 3/4" x 3/8" x 1/4" and is 3.8 grams. The next two pieces were both marked as panned from rivers and gravel banks in Calavaras County, first is a small nugget that is 1/2" x 1/4" x 1/8" and is 2 grams. Last is a sample of loose gold dust or flakes it is in a 2 x 2 coin holder and we estimate the gold weight at 1 gram. So in total there is 6.8 grams or a little over 5 penny weight. The collection this came from this was displayed to help show how California's gold played a part in the Civil War and United States history of the West.

Sample Size can of Old Dutch Cleanser

This is a "Free Sample" size can of Old Dutch Cleanser.  They were distributed to grocers to give to their customers.  There is a stamp of the back of the can indicating that it is not to be sold.  It has a cardboard body and a tin top and bottom.  It has a great picture of the Old Dutch Girl and is in very good condition with very vibrant colors and no scratching or fading.  It measures 3" high and 2 1/4" in diameter and is dated 1907.

Grandma Cookie Co. Country Store Display Jar - circa 1940

Lot # 198 (Sale Order: 198 of 361)      

This lot is for an original class store display jar. The aluminum lid is marked "GRANDMA COOKIE CO." and the class is etched "GRANDMA". The  body of the jar is made of clear glass and is approximately. 12" tall x 10 1/4" in diameter. There are some small chips to the ground top edge with signs of many years of use to the bottom from sliding on and off the counter for years.  Both the jar and lid are old, circa 1940. You do not see many like this any more and this nice!

Framed Vintage Volk Brewery Sign w/ Race Horses - Man O' War - Seabiscuit - Whirlaway

A fantastic sign for Pilsner Beer from Volk Brewery in Great Falls, Montana The sign has been framed and is circa 1945. It features three famous, record winning race horses - Man O' War, Seabiscuit & Whirlaway. We have seen this image used by other breweries of the day, and this one is by far larger and more colorful. The size of the frame is 34 1/4" x 27 1/2" with the sign being only slightly smaller. There is no damage to the sign.
