Japanese Type 94 War Damaged Pistol FFL # 37811

This unusual Imperial Japanese WWII era Type 94 Nambu Semi-Auto Pistol was damaged in a US Napalm attack and brought back as a macabre war souvenir. Captured on Okinawa late in the war, the pistol was scorched and the 8mm cartridges in the magazine cooked off blowing off the grips. This US Military WWII Remington Bolt Action started off as a M-1903A3 before being converted into a pseudo M-1903A4 Sniper Rifle. The bolt and stock were modified, and correct style base, rings and a Lyman Alaskan Scope were added to create a nearly identical copy of the famed WWII sniper. Barrel is a 1944 Remington, bore is very good as are the optics and military M-1907 sling. Story is this was a Vietnam War era conversion, but their is no provenance.
