Great Falls Select Beer Truck with Cans

Lot # 253 (Sale Order: 253 of 361)      

This is a great little piece of advertising. It is a delivery truck display that held a 6 pak of beer cans. It is from Great Falls Breweries in Great Falls, Montana. The six pack of beer cans are early pull tab cans and have all been used and opened. The cardboard six pack holder and the cans in it both show wear. The folded cardboard truck and sign look like they were never used. With the six pack on the back of the truck it really looks nice. Overall size is 11 x 16 x 5.

Reno License Plate Topper - "Harold's Club or Bust"

These were very popular in the 1950's, so popular in fact that they are being reissued.  This one is an original done by the Vernon Company of Newton, Iowa.  There is a nail hole on the top of the wagon.   There are a few nicks and scratches but brightly colored and in over all very good condition.

Made by Milton Bradley in the 1950s, this "Howdy Doody's T.V. Game" is complete and features all its pieces. The game is in excellent condition and the pieces itself are like new. Quack Medicine Atmoray by Atmozone Company Inc.

This is an unusual Atmoray by Atmozone Company Inc. The company was founded in Oregon City, Oregon. The Atmoray works perfectly, has two bulbs, one purple, one red, and both work. The Thing that makes this device unusual is the fact that it has an aluminum casing around it. Most were put into wood casings or had no casing at all. It measures approximately 12" x 8" x 8". Definitely an interesting piece of quack medicine or technology from the early days of electricity.

Victorian Carved Meerschaum Cheroot Holder - Pipe - Mountain Climber

Lot # 259 (Sale Order: 259 of 361)      

This pipe is a meerschaum cheroot holder. Most likely circa 1900s based on the style and the original case. The pipe has an amber stem, it is very tight and would no come unscrewed. It features a hand carved mountain climber perhaps Austrian. The carved area is 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 3/4", overall length with stem is 4". This pipe is fresh from a local estate and is exactly as received. It is used and no attempts have been made to clean it.

Lot of 17 Columbia River Basin Arrowhead and Points - Oregon

Offered is a collection of 17 varied Columbia River Arrowheads and points. They offer a great cross section of the many different points and gemstone material which are unique to this part of the world. They vary in size from approximately 1/2" x 1/2" to 1 1/2" x 3/4" condition is a varied as there sizes and colors. Some may have chips or other flaws, all are exactly as found and were found over several years. These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the Oregon Archeology Society between 1955 and 1965. These were found in the Columbia River Basin with no site listed.

Hamm's 1960s Sign - The Land Of Sky Blue Water

Original Vintage Poster for Matson Line to Hawaii

Lot # 262 (Sale Order: 262 of 361)      

This is a terrific old travel poster for Matson Lines, a shipping company that used to run many cruise ships to Hawaii. This is from around 1937. It had been mounted onto heavy card stock after printing so that it could displayed without framing. There is a horizontal crease line running across the middle. It is in pretty great shape considering it's age. The size is 19 3/4 x 29 7/8 inches.

Early Heidelberg Beer Mirror - Tacoma, Washington

Lot # 263 (Sale Order: 263 of 361)      

This is a great old beer mirror for Heidelberg Beer. It was brewed by Columbia Breweries Inc. in Tacoma, Washington. The mirror is in its original chrome frame and has a small mounting hook on back. The cardboard easel is missing from the back of the sign. There is some paint loss to the front of the mirror by the ER in Heidelberg. It does not take away from the rest of the image of their famous student prince they used so much from the mid 1930s till the late 1950s. Size is 10 x 5. There are no chips or cracks.

British Railway Vintage Travel Poster - England - Carisbrooke Castle and the Isle of White

Vintage Baker's Cup & Saucer - China

Beautiful China cup and saucer featuring the Lady Baker, which was used as the company's trademark. The cup and saucer have different manufacturer logos, but there is no doubt that they were meant to go together, as evidenced by the similar gold pinstriping. No chips, cracks or stains - both pieces are in excellent condition. Cup measures 2" tall by 3" in diameter - saucers measures 5.75" in diameter.

Offered is a collection of 8 varied Columbia River Arrowheads. These offer a great cross section of the material which is to be found nowhere else in the world. The largest is approximately 1 1/4" x 5/8" and the smallest is 3/4" x 1/2". These are exactly as found with few if any flaws. These were some of the original collector's favorite and have remained in their private collection until now. These were found by Walt and Gladys Koch members of the OAS and were found in the Columbia River Basin over several years circa 1960.

Original 1904 Vintage Poster - Cigale the Ballet by Jules Massenet

Lot # 270 (Sale Order: 270 of 361)      

This poster is for the first production of a ballet that had been a retelling of the fable, The Ant and the Grasshopper. Here we see the ballerina as The Grasshopper, La Cigale, in the last dramatic scene. There is an interesting little Wikipedia entry on the ballet. Music had been by France's top composer of the period, Jules Massenet. The printing is amazing old-style stone lithography in cool wintery tones. The condition is great. The size is 21 1/2 x 35 inches, with the linen-backing extending another two inches on all four sides.

Krueger's Beer & Ale 1930s Tip Tray - Newark, New Jersey

Lot # 273 (Sale Order: 273 of 361)      

This is an original tip tray for Krueger's Beer and Ale. It features the Krueger's large "K" logo sometimes referred to as K-man or baldie as this is the variation without the hat. Size is 4 3/8" x 5/8". Has great color and looks great, however there are some flaws, wear to the bottom and stains to the inside rim. Please see pictures.

California Brewing Company Covered Wagon

Lot # 274 (Sale Order: 274 of 361)      

This is a light up covered wagon from the California Brewing Company. Checking our reference books and such we found six different California Brewing Companies listed, they ranged in date from 1900 until 1958 with most all of them being in San Francisco. This wagon is one of the earliest looking ones we have seen. It has a small Christmas size light bulb and has an old ceramic base to hold the bulb inside the wagon. Other than some dust this is in nice overall condition. The light inside is blue and flashes on and off to help draw you to the piece. Size is approximately 16 x 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

Le Mage Original 1891 Vintage Poster - Massenet's Opera

Lot # 275 (Sale Order: 275 of 361)      

This dramatic poster shows the climatic scene in this Victorian melodramatic opera. There is a very interesting Wikipedia entry on this opera. It is described as an important piece of musical history. Music by Jules Massenet. It is an opera that takes place in ancient Persia. In the poster we see Zarastra the Persian general with his beloved Touranian queen, Anahita, as the rejected goddess of love, Varedha, expires in the ruins. Great fun. The printing is amazing on this item, stone lithography and iridescent gold ink. It is in great condition with one tiny bit of invisible piece-in in the lower left border, linen-backed with 2 inch borders. Size: 25 3/8 x 35 1/4 inches.
