Remington Double Derringer with ultra-rare side barrel addresses and extractor in .41rim fire caliber, S/N 2020 showing factory style scroll engraving with ivory grips. The left side reads “Remingtons Ilion N.” and the right reads “Elliot patent Dec 12, 1865” upside down. Only handful known engraved in this variation. The derringer remains in very good condition with 50%-70% evenly toning nickel finish remaining. Smooth and sharp metal surfaces with sharp markings. Hinge and action are both good. The bores are fair to good. The ivory grips show a deep yellow patina and some even wear and remain at least very good plus. In original to the period pipe casing which is also in very good condition. From the Dr. Rudy Johnson collection and pictured in the book he co-authored with Drummond. Includes deluxe copy of the book. (Antique) Est.: $5500-11000
