A vintage 11”x 14” X-ray of Apollo 13 astronaut Jim Lovell’s EVA spacesuit gloves dated 3-26-70, about 2 weeks before the mission. Written in the clear box at the center-top of the X-ray reads, "3-26-70, Lovell S/N 054, EV Gloves". Excellent condition. This X-ray was taken as a last minute check to see if there were any foreign objects that could compromise the integrity of the spacesuit during the mission, such as broken off tips of needles that were used in the stitching process. These X-rays were taken and inspected at the time by a man named Jack Weakland, who stored them for NASA during and after the Apollo program. At some time afterwards NASA directed him to dispose of them. These X-rays would make a wonderful display in a light box either autographed or not.
