ID'd to Local North Carolina Veteran - Kenneth Wachter Benner - Brigadier General - Two Older style Dog Tags with thumb print on reverse side - Kenneth Wachter Benner was a well renowned veteran who served during Pearl Harbor and survived to tell about it. He worked his way up to a 1st Star Brigadier General. This is his USMC Marine Raider Stiletto dagger he brought back. Lots of information out there that can be found. Winner will receive a full printed booklet of all the paper copies found online through research along with his dagger, dog tags, and scabbard. This is a fantastic lot and incredibly rare to find items in today’s market from actual Pearl Harbor Veterans. ||| Kenneth makes for a very interesting read-up and there’s much research that can be done. |||| Kenneth Wachter Benner (May 6, 1904 – September 10, 1975) was a decorated officer in the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Brigadier general. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he trained as Anti-Aircraft Artillery officer and participated in the Defense of Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal Campaign and Battle of Okinawa.
