Montana artist Larry Zabel felt the most fitting way to celebrate RMEF 20th Anniversary was to honor RMEF's first acquisition project. The 17,000-acre Robb Creek project located in southwest Montana was finalized in 1987 when RMEF was still in Troy and lead to the establishment of the Robb-Ledford Wildlife Management Area. Larry captured a moment in time that depicts the pioneering spirit of an early Robb Creek homesteader. The Robb-Ledford Wildlife Management Area has become a true "land for the pioneering spirit."
