German WW1 Saxony Officer’s Pickelhaube – Line Infantry Spike Helmet with Gilt Fittings

"This is a genuine German World War I Saxony Officer’s Pickelhaube—a spiked helmet worn by one of Saxony’s fourteen-line infantry regiments as of 1897. Constructed with a leather body and adorned with gilt brass fittings, the helmet features the iconic Saxon wappen: a gold sunburst plate with a silver coat of arms of Saxony at its center, topped by an open (voided) officer’s crown. Both the officer stars and spike base remain intact, with the spike mounted on a classic officer’s screw-post base for detachment. The original Saxon-style officer cockades (kokarden) are present, reflecting the non-Prussian regional variant used also by Württemberg, Hesse-Darmstadt, Baden, and Mecklenburg-Schwerin....more

"This is an original German M18 Stahlhelm helmet from World War I, complete with its original leather chinstrap and interior liner, and named on the interior to “KELLER.” The helmet shell retains a significant amount of its wartime field-grey paint, with expected patina and surface wear. The rolled edge and rivet configuration mark this clearly as a late-war M1918 model.
