Between 1936 and 1938 just 1201 Rolls-Royce 25/30 chassis were built ready for delivery to one?s chosen coachbuilder. This 1937 example chassis GH048 was delivered new to C.E.R Keddie Esq of London who paid ...1100 for the chassis alone. He employed the services of Salmons & Sons to construct a body for the car. The car was eventually imported in to the United States to a new owner in the 1980s in New York and then purchased by its current owners in Santa Fe NM in 1998. Nicknamed ?Buttercup? this Rolls-Royce has been extensively campaigned on international rallies and European tours and featured in numerous Rolls-Royce Owners Club publications. It is accompanied by numerous plaques ribbons and trophies from local Club events concours rallies and fox hunts and is a stalwart of the Rolls-Royce club. In 2006 the car achieved Senior status in the Classic Car Club of America. This right-hand-drive classic is powered by an inline-6 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. Buttercup finished in Primrose Yellow over black leather interior with the customary wood dash door cappings and accessories as well as the obligatory picnic trays features the Tickford patented winding 3-position hood mechanism. The car is now showing some wear conducive to the many miles of enjoyment it has experienced in its 80 years. It is accompanied by almost a full complement of original tools jacking system and service records.
