Original and unrestored this Corvette is finished in Honduras Maroon over a black interior. Its optioned with the 327/360hp fuel-injected engine 4-speed manual transmission AM radio auxiliary hardtop and whitewall tires. Awards achieved include the NCRS Preservation Excellence 5-Star Bowtie Award and two-time Bloomington Gold Survivor Certification and Silver Awards. Documentation includes the NCRS shipping data report owner history previous owners titles photos judging sheets and a letter from the third owners (1968 to 1993) wife. Rarely driven and with 51620 original miles this car always had to be stored inside and for a time was stored inside the previous owners house. Knowledgeable Corvette hobbyist Roy Sinor also owned the car for a time and said It is probably the best unrestored/unmassaged Fuelie in existence. Most do not believe the paint is original because it is so nice. Its real. Longtime NCRS head judge Chuck Berge also inspected the car in 2016 and said The car is totally unrestored and in excellent condition. It is one of the finest examples of an original 1962 Corvette. From 1999 to 2003 the car was displayed at the National Corvette Museum. Included with the sale is the NCRS 5-Star Bowtie Award Bloomington Gold Awards judging sheets and a 2 binder of documentation. One of the few if not the only 1962 fuel-injected Corvettes to achieve an NCRS Preservation Excellence 5-Star Bowtie Award.
