This matching-numbers 1972 442 convertible is one of 1171 produced and is documented with two Broadcast Sheets listing the W29 option proving its a true 442. It is powered by its original 350ci 8-cylinder engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The M in the VIN number confirms it is an original 350ci 4-barrel car with dual exhaust. Upon completion of the restoration it was shown at AACA National Meet in Hershey PA in October 2016 and earned a First Place award in its class. Original paperwork from 1972 is still with the car including the two Broadcast Sheets Protect-O-Plate owner?s manual vehicle warranty letter from the dealership manager thanking the owner for their purchase pre-delivery checklist and various mechanical invoices. Coming from Oklahoma the car was rust-free and all original. The exhaust pipes on the car are the original exhaust pipes and were ceramic-coated to preserve them and trumpet tips were added. This beauty is loaded with options including the Thornton steel-frame Ram Air hood that was added in 2016 during the frame-off restoration. Other options include SSI wheels Goodyear Polyglas tires Sunfire Yellow paint white interior bucket seats console power steering power disc brakes sport steering wheel Quadrajet carburetor AM/FM stereo sport mirrors and hand-painted factory 442 stripes.
