Starr Navy percussion revolver, .36 cal., 6” barrel, blue finish, wood grips, no visible markings except #3 on left side of frame above the grips. This gun is in overall very good + condition showing approx. 45% original finish, good bore, action and grips; consignor indicates his research has determined this may be the lowest known number Starr Navy revolver and possibly may have been a prototype used as a demonstration piece for the Union and Confederate Navies however, no definitive documentation to that effect has been found to date. Est.: $4,000-$8,000.
