Item Details
Original Parker 28 gauge, VHE grade, double barrel shotgun with extra pair of Remington style 410 barrels, refurbished and restocked by Connecticut Shotgun Company. The gun shows a beaver tail forend and a fancy Burl wood checkered and carved stock. The gun is contained within a fancy leather case with Parker label and a canvas cover. A factory letter authenticates this Parker shotgun, serial number 236431 was completed on order April 12, 1934. According to Parker Brothers records it was shipped as a VHE 28 gauge on OO frame. The original 28 gauge, 30” barrel is choked improved modified right and full left. The 410 barrels are both choked improved modified. The stock measures 14” to the end of the checkered butt with skeleton steel butt plate. The stock shows a 2 ¼” drop at the heel and 1 3/8” drop at the comb with a slight cast of 1 ½” at the heel and 5/8” at the comb. The gun is fitted with a pre-war miller single trigger. Small bore pre-war Parkers are rare and desirable and this Parker shows an added bonus of having been rebuilt by Connecticut Shotgun Company with a great extra set of barrels made for use on this fine and rare Parker. The condition is excellent to mint as restored 99% plus. Factory letter and info from C. S. Shotgun Company included. Est.: $27,500- $55,000.
