Item Details
This standard issue bayonet is believed to be from the Civil War-era. It is a .58 caliber bayonet and measures 21" long. It comes with a leather scabbard that shows cracking and other wear normal for its age. The bayonet bears one mark near the base of the blade - "U.S."

We have requested that Proxibid NOT DISCLOSE any maximum/ceiling bids to us. The only bids that we can see are the price any lot is currently at, NOT the maximum/ceiling bid placed on any one lot.

There is no charge for registration. When bidding on any lot offered by Paige Auction, the bidder indicates acceptance of the terms of sale. All purchases must be paid for in full before items are removed from premises. Payments are due within 10 days after the auction. If payment has not received by the 10th day following the auction full amount will be charged to credit cards on file. A buyers premium will be added to the bid prices and is payable by the buyer as part of the total purchase price. Buyers premium charges are as follows. Rights & Responsibilities: The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder. The auctioneer alone has the right to reopen the bidding of an item if deemed necessary due to a dispute. If there is a tie bid between the floor and Internet or absentee bid, the floor takes bid precedence. Paige Auction and its representatives reserve the right to remove those attendees who impede the previews and/or the auction. Title to all merchandise shall pass to the highest bidder at the fall of the auctioneer's hammer. The buyer will then assume all risk and full responsibility of the lot purchased once ownership has changed. No lot may be transferred to another buyer.
