The last of the X-rays. A vintage 14”x 17” X-ray of Apollo 17 astronaut Gene Cernan's spacesuit EVA gloves and not dated. Excellent condition. This X-ray was taken as a last minute check to see if there were any foreign objects that could compromise the integrity of the spacesuit during the mission, such as broken off tips of needles that were used in the stitching process. These X-rays were taken and inspected at the time by a man named Jack Weakland, who stored them for NASA during and after the Apollo program. At some time afterwards NASA directed him to dispose of them. These X-rays would make a wonderful display in a light box.
