Overview of 1958 Glastron Surflite Boat

Item Details

1958 Glastron Surflite Boat Having began production in 1957, The Glastron Boat Company drew upon the styling from the American Automotive Industry and produced boats that were well styled. Early Glastron boats remain popular today and are a joy to see on the water, fins and all! The boat presented at auction underwent a beautiful restoration with a few custom touches added. The body of the boat was refurbished and received a high-end paint job, The paint scheme is Red Flake in Red on the body and Silver Flake in Silver on the inset down the side. This striking color combination sets this boat apart and really makes it stand out on the water! The Hardtop cover provides that "bubbletop" look and feel adding to the nostalgia! Mechanically, the boat is powered by a 1968 push button drive 40HP Evinrude. The motor was rebuilt and painted in Silver blending itself nicely to the boat. Steering was updated to rack and pinion for greater drivability on the water. All lights work with the taillight being upgraded to LED. The interior of the boat sports white upholstery and presents very well. This car has been consigned to the 1st Annual Sioux Falls Classic Car Auction hosted by the Classic Car Auction Group.
