PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS: All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auctions. We accept Visa and MasterCard only. Your credit card will be charged for the your purchases, plus buyer’s premium, fees and any taxes. A pre-auction authorization will be performed to establish available credit. NOTHING will be charged to your card until a purchase is made. Credit Card charge back’s will not be accepted. Any bidders with credit cards that are declined on reconciliation day will be charged a $25.00 processing fee to run another credit card- NO EXECPTIONS! Check with the provider of your credit card that it can be processed in Canada without your presence. The Auction house reserves the right to request a different form of payment (wire transfer, certified cheque or bank draft) for larger amounts.

NOTICE:
You are bidding in a Canadian auction. All purchases are in Canadian dollars. It is your responsibility to be aware of your country’s import policy on commodity purchased. Each shipment destined for addresses outside of Canada will require itemized paperwork and declarations to ensure swift and proper clearance through the destination country’s customs house. Depending on the item and its nature and value, the customs house in the recipient’s country may charge duty, taxes and brokerage fees associated with the clearing of the items through customs. We encourage you to contact your country’s customs house to ensure you understand your country’s clearance procedures and fee schedule.
ORDER OF SALE:
The current published catalogue is prepared to promote the product being offered in the upcoming auction. It is not done so in the order of sale. The catalogue will be revised on the eve prior to the auction and we encourage you to check back so that you will be aware when the items of your interest will be selling.
SALES TAX:
Effective July 1st, 2010 Ontario is now a HST province therefore taxes to Canadian bidders will be as follows:
HST provinces will be charged 13% on all purchases, buyer's premium, convenience fee and shipping and handling costs. This pertains to:
* Newfoundland
* New Brunswick
* Nova Scotia
* Ontario
HST province with 12% is British Columbia therefore 12% will be charged on all purchases, buyer's premium, convenience fee and shipping and handling costs.
Non-HST provinces with 5% GST (and possible PST) will be charged on all purchases, buyer's premium, convenience fee and shipping and handling costs.
* Quebec
* PEI
* Manitoba
* Alberta
* Saskatchewan
First nation persons with Band numbers will no longer be excempt and will pay HST on all purchases picked up at the auction.
International bidders do not pay any additional taxes provided items are shipped out of the country.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
We do not ship anything that is restricted, e.g. Firearms, aerosol cans, flammable materials, alcohol, fireworks. We also cannot ship endangered species items e.g. ivory.
If you wish for any other form of shipping other than those stated, arrangements will need to be made with the Auctioneer.
International Shipping: everywhere except Canada
All items will be shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service) Parcel Post. All items will be shipped insured. If Priority shipping is requested, we must be notified within 48 hours from time of purchase so that the appropriate shipping cost can be applied.
Outside of the United States of America:
It is your responsibility to be aware of your country’s import policy on commodity purchased. Canadian Shipping:
United Parcel Service
We will automatically ship, unless other arrangements are made. Our preferred shipper is the UPS Store Cornwall. Telephone 1-613-933-9696
Shipping rates vary based on size of the package, weight of the package and destination’s postal of zip code. Estimated will only be provided if the client provides all the required description of the parcel via email to info@upscornwall.com . Please note that shipping rates are vastly different from the UPS domestic rates available in the United States. Any shipment destined for locations outside of Canada and the continental United States will be shipped via UPS Express. All other shipments will be shipped via UPS Standard.
Packaging:
Items being submitted to the UPS Store for packaging will be packed according to our centers packaging guidelines. A combination of shipping cartons, bubble wrap, packing peanuts and air bag cushioning are used to safely and securely package any and all items. On occasion, crating will be required for particular items to be shipped and insured through the UPS system.
Insurance:
The UPS store is the only shipping outlet that offers Shipment Protection Coverage on items not recognized by typical shipment insurance programs. Fine china, artwork, jewellery, valuables, antiques and breakables are just a few of the items that we can insure for the complete duration of the shipments travels. The insurance coverage is charged on the basis of $100.00 increments with a fee of $3.00 CDN per unit. (e.g.: $400.00 of coverage would be a $12.00 CDN fee. All items shipped will be insured for its purchase value
Signature required delivery is an additional service applied to each package to ensure proper delivery of the item. Every package will require a signature before the item can be delivered.
If you wish for any other form of shipping prior arrangements will need to be made with the Auctioneer.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Theresa Taylor & Associates Auctioneering (referred to as the Auctioneer) is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to the Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Auctioneer or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Auctioneer will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum 24hours before the auction begins. Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
All property is sold “AS IS “ with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. . The Auctioneer has put forth every effort in preparing the catalog for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items in good faith and they are matters of opinion. In no event shall the Auctioneer be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. Please send any specific questions to info@theresataylor.com or call us for more information. We reserve the right to add or delete items prior to sale time.
Bidders who bid from off site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an time as well as if they examined it in person. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. The Auctioneer shall endeavor to describe in detail each item and any pertinent information about it. The Auctioneer will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself. Bidder agrees that everything is sold as is and that they may not return any item they purchase.
There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium added to your purchase. There will be a convenience fee of $5.00 for the first item purchased and a fee of $1.00 per every additional item. This fee covers securing your purchase at the auction facility and transporting it to the UPS Store Cornwall.
If you win an item in the auction you will be notified by email. All items, fees and taxes will be charged to the credit card on file. Packing and shipping charges will be charged separately to your credit card by the UPS Store Cornwall.
The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the Auctioneer in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the Auctioneer and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser’s failure to adhere to these terms.
The auctioneer has the sole discretion to advance the bidding and may reject a nominal advance, should it in his/her estimation prove injurious to the auction. The Auctioneer shall be the final judge in all bidding disputes and shall name a bidder as the purchaser.
The Auctioneer shall not be responsible for any “ missed” bids or bids unseen by the auctioneer.
By bidding on any item, the bidder shows acceptance of the terms of the auction.
The auction company reserves the right to refuse service or decline registration to any person.
All announcements made day of auction take precedence over any and all written, verbal of electronic statements.
