Chanel Gold Leather Pouch with TasselOverview of Victorian Art Glass White Satin Glass Ruffle/Crimped Top Vase
Item Details
"This is a beautifully delicate example of the glassblower's skill - a crimped or ruffle top vase in white satin glass with a faint ribbed pattern. Victorian styled, the exact age and maker is unknown, but the quality is there. The vase stands approx. 6 1/2"" tall, sloping down and then flaring out at the base, which is approx. 2 3/8"" in diameter. Surprisingly, the base does not show signs of being hand blown. Condition is excellent, considering all the edges along the ruffle which could be damaged, there is not one chip! There are a couple of faint mar marks near the base, which barely show and do not detract at all from the overall beauty of the piece. Deep inside is a bit dusty, but there are no water level/lime build-up marks evident. Imagine this in a Victorian or Edwardian setting - perfect!
