Item Details

Note: See Important Auction Announcement Above
cynthie fisher is likely unique among fellow female wildlife artists: she's an avid big-game hunter. For cynthie, hunting plays an important role in her ability to breathe life and accuracy into her wildlife paintings. Her artwork earned her national recognition early on, and has raised thousands of dollars over the years for state duck stamp programs, the rmef, ducks unlimited and the wild turkey federation. Her relationship with the elk foundation began in 1992 when she was selected as the winter artist of the quarter for her painting ahead of danger. Cynthie was awarded the 2001 rmef artist of the year as well as featured artist for 2003. This piece, ""just one more step"" depicts a big bull, ""full of piss and vinegar,"" coming in to a hopeful bow hunter's call. Cynthie has contributed more than $7,000 to the elk foundation’s business partners in conservation program.
