Item Details
This is the first of three wonderful circa 1920 full color tipped-in plates we will be offering in this auction. It is from perhaps the most beautiful children's book ever published, "East of the Sun and West of the Moon: Old Tales from the North. The artist is Kay Nielsen and the plate was used to illustrate the many Norse tales in the book. The plate was created in a preparatory ink and watercolor style and is still attached to the page. The image is approximately 5-1/4" x 7" with a 11" x 14" mat. This item is ready to drop into a ready-made frame.

Rights & Responsibilities: The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder. The auctioneer alone has the right to reopen the bidding of an item if deemed necessary due to a dispute. If there is a tie bid between the floor and Internet or absentee bid, the floor takes bid precedence. Paige Auction and its representatives reserve the right to remove those attendees who impede the previews and/or the auction. Title to all merchandise shall pass to the highest bidder at the fall of the auctioneer's hammer.
