It typically takes between 2-7 days to package and calculate shipping. Once shipping has been calculated shipping charges are added and invoices are sent and payment is processed twice. Once for items won and a second time for shipping. Packages are sent out that day when possible once final invoice is sent. We always combine items into as few boxes as possible. Smaller Items that will fit in a Priority Mail Box or other SMALL package are processed in-house. We typically add a small fee to cover the cost of packing materials and labor - typically between $2 and $7. Note, we take every reasonable step that we can to keep shipping costs at a minimum. However, larger items of an unusual shape or size typically cost more to ship.
All shipped items are shipped with insurance. We only insure items based upon the winning bid not any other perceived value. Since it has been our experience that USPS has the lowest rates we ship almost everything USPS. The post office is across the street and there is not an opportunity for us to provide email address for tracking information. If you have not received tracking information please email us the auction name, your name, and your paddle number. We will provide your tracking numbers to you.
VA sales tax will be applied to all purchases made within the state and shipped within the state. VA state sales tax is 5.3%. If you are tax exempt we must receive your documentation via email prior to the close of the auction or immediately thereafter. If we have not received your paperwork and process your payment we will not refund sales tax.
Additional disclosures:
Absentee bids are taken in house and your bids are handled by the auctioneer just as if you where in house bidding yourself. Meaning, if you have a $100.00 absentee bid we look for an opening bid either in-house or on line and bid in increments on the absentee bidders behalf up to the amount of their bid. Please note that a small percentage of the items in any sale may be owned by the auction company. Most items are auctioned on consignment. Some items in any 'Live' auction may have a reserve. We will not accept any item on reserve if the reserve is too high. Reserves must be below market value and most often are well below full market value. Additionally we feel that any auction with a high number of reserves is not an auction but a glorified sale. It is for this reason that we accept very few reserves. For items with reserves the auctioneer will bid on behalf of the seller which may be auction company up until the reserve price is met and not beyond the reserve. More often than not the reserve is the opening bid.
