dating: last quarter of the 18th Century, provenance: France, "Archibugiere", painting on porcelain; depicting a soldier in his late 16th Century clothes with morion and armour, a rifle on his shoulder, his right hand on a sword quillon; at the background a landscape with caste, the signature on the bottom left side; in a subsequent, plastered, gilt wooden frame.Vincent Taillandier (1736-1790) was painter on porcelain at the Manufacture of Sèvres. See "Dictionnaire des Peintre, Sculpteurs - Desinnateurs et Graveurs", E. Benitez, ed. Grund, vol. 10 pag. 55., , dimensions: dimensions 18,5 x 28 cm.
