dating: early 19th Century, provenance: Germany, Curved, single-edged blade with double fuller, marked "HOSTIN" at the back. Fine, iron quillon, the block chiselled with fighting scenes between dogs and a lion and between dogs and a bull; the arms of the quillon bent toward the bottom, chiselled with acanthus leaves, racemes and frames, ending with in the round lion heads holding a small, floral button in their jaws. Bone grip (recent production) chiselled with floral motifs and lion head at the pommel., , dimensions: length 48,5 cm.
