Porsche was not the first company to use a turbocharger on their car, but certainly the most notable. Beginning in the early 1970s the company was quick to adapt turbocharging to its 934 and 935 racing coupes and then apply the technology to the ferocious production 930. This particular example 930 is finished in Guards Red with a nice contrasting black leather interior. This Turbo has most of the factory options including optional sport seats, sunroof, alarm system, limited slip and a Fitipaldi sport leather wrapped steering wheel. The original stock 282 hp 3.3 litre turbo charged flat six has been modified with internal upgrades, larger turbo and twin tipped exhaust. This Turbo was owned by former race car driver and Daytona 24 Hr winner Jochen Rohr. Throughout the later 1970s and into the 1980s, the 930 evolved into an ever-more sophisticated, luxurious, and powerful road car that would be very suitable for club track events or weekend cruising.
