Item Details

Matching numbers big block 396 CI 3-Speed 48,000 Original Miles Original build sheet and original Protect-O-Plate Yellow with black interior and convertible top new top with glass rear window air conditioning Power steering and power brakes New gas tank, carburetor and exhaust New front and rear springs and steering box New fuel lines, brake hoses and battery New ball joints, wheel bearings and tires Repaint in 2005 at cost of $9,219 "This car belonged to my grandfather, Roy Chambers, a well-known car collection in Dallas, TX. He is now 90 years old and is no longer able to drive. This was his touring car from 2009 to 2015. The car is built to be driven. With its big block power, bullet proof 400 turbo, and 265 rear gear, it cruises down the highway at 75 mph with ease. The only notable deviation from stock, besides the radial tires, is the Edelbrock carb and intake, which were added to improve drivability and performance. This car has the ideal pedigree. It has the right options and the right documentation to make it an investment that you can drive and enjoy. I traveled to Dallas in September 2015 to trailer the car back to Kansas City. The car would not fit on the trailer. I asked my grandad if he thought it would make the 500-mile drive back to Kansas City, and before I could finish my sentence he had already replied 'of course, my cars are meant to be driven.' He wasn't kidding, a quick check of the fluids, which were and are full and clean, and a check of the tires, which had exactly 32 lbs. psi, and I was on my way. No issues, in fact driving this car on the Oklahoma turnpike at 75 mph with the top down you can't help bul fall in love. My family loves the car, it's big enough for 6 people, sounds awesome, runs awesome, and get a lot of attention. This is not a concourse quality car, but rather a reliable driver that cleans up nice. It is the perfect car to tour in, cruise in, put in a parade, or throw everyone in and go get ice cream. Our family's hope is this car continues to be driven and enjoyed."
