GORGEOUS LILAC COLORED EMERALD CUT PALASITE GEMSTONE CUT FROM A METEORITE WITH AAA QUALITY
NATURAL AND UNTREATED FACETED EMERALD CUT PALASITE GEMSTONE CUT FROM A VERY RARE FORM OF PALASITE METEORITE. EXPERTLY CUT TO PERFECT PROPORTIONS WITH A PREMIUM CUT GRADE. ONLY THE FINEST QUALITY STONES ARE CUT INTO EMERALD CUTS BECAUSE THE LARGE STEP CUT FACETS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE GEMSTONE MAKE INCLUSIONS, COLOR ZONING, AND OTHER IMPERFECTIONS MUCH MORE NOTICEABLE. THIS IS WHY YOU RARELY SEE EMERALD CUT PALASITE OF LARGER SIZES OR THE RARER COLORS. THIS SPECIMEN HAS A VERY VERY RARE PINKISH PURPLE COLOR WHICH IS THE EXACT COLOR OF FRESHLY BLOOMED LILACS. THIS IS ONE OF THE RARE EXOTIC COLORED PALASITE YOU LIKELY WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN CUT INTO A GEMSTONE SIZE AND QUALITY PIECE. FLAWLESS EYE CLEAN CLARITY AND STRONG BRILLIANCE AND LUSTER. MEASURES 8X6 MM WITH A WEIGHT OF 1.31 CARATS. PALASITE METEORITES ARE A RARE FORM OF METEORITE THAT RESEMBLE STAINED GLASS AND HAVE MANY CHUNKS OF COLORED GEMSTONES. VERY RARELY A GEMOLOGIST WILL FACET THESE GEMSTONES SUCH AS IN THIS INSTANCE. THESE GEMSTONES ARE VERY HARD TO FIND BECAUSE PALASITE METEORITES ARE EXTREMELY VALUABLE IN THEIR NATURAL SPECIMEN STATE AND FACETING THEM GREATLY REDUCES THE WEIGHT. THE OUTCOME IS A GORGEOUS BUT EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE GEMSTONE USUALLY WITH RETAIL PRICES BETWEEN $1000 AND $3000 PER CARAT. THE MOST COMMON COLOR IS GREEN, THEN COOL COLORS SUCH AS BLUE WITH THE RAREST COLORS BEING WARM COLORS LIKE RED AND ORANGE. PERIDOT IS THE MOST COMMONLY FOUND GEMSTONE IN PALASITE METEORITES BUT SOMETIMES OTHER GEMSTONES WITH OTHER COLORS ARE FOUND. THESE ARE A SEPARATE GEMSTONE SPECIES ENTIRELY.
