Item Details
The military history of the United States spans a period of over two centuries during which the country has evolved from a new nation fighting Great Britain for independence, through the monumental Civil War, to a world superpower. Exhibit your pride in that history with this unique tribute to the efforts of the U.S. military. A collection of one shot shell and 24 cartridge calibers adopted by the United States government and issued to our troops from the U.S. Cavalry to modern day armed forces is set into a custom red felt matting that radiates with patriotic intensity. The cartridges displayed include those used in fighting from the Indian Wars, Spanish-American War and World Wars I and II to the Korean War, Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm and other conflicts worldwide. Labels modeled after cartridge bases identify each caliber. The oval brass plaque in the center of the spread ties the design together and is customized for Friends of NRA, presenting the emblems of the five military branchesAir Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navyaround the NRA logo and 'United States Armed Forces" text. A 17.5"H x 13.5"W walnut-stained frame of solid oak and protective glass complete the piece, which includes wire on the back for hanging. Limited to 1,130 units and made in the USA by Tatonka Cartridge Co. in Crawford, Texas, exclusively for Friends of NRA.
