Every generation of the iconic Porsche 911 has its fan community. If you're among those who think the 964 is the best-looking 911 ever, step a little closer and have a look at this gorgous, guards red 1991 Carrera 4 convertible. This sports car is 25 years old, but who would think so by the looks of it? The finish (colour code L80K) is marred by only minor imperfections such as paint bubbles, peelings or hardly visible stone chip damage. The black convertible top is in near-new condition, as is the tarpaulin. The electric top works as it should. The black leather interior is very well maintained, the dashboard devoid of cracks. The clean and dry engine compartment houses the powerful 3.6 litre boxer engine which produces 184 kw (250 hp) of power and it sends drive to all four wheels through the G50/52 manual 5-speed gearbox, a 1991 novelty.
This Porsche is a matching numbers car and recently re-imported from the US, is equipped with air conditioning, dual airbags, power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors and seats as well as an MP3 / CD radio. Model history:
After 16 years of production, the highly popular "G model" of the Porsche 911 was due for a thorough makeover in 1989. The successor, which bore the internal code 964, is said to have shared no more than 15 % of its parts with model it replaced. While retaining the characteristic basic design, the 964 brought a cornucopia of technical innovations. For the first time in a 911, all wheel drive, derived from the technology carrier Porsche 959, and the Tiptronic automatic gearshift became available. Power steering, airbags as well as ABS brakes likewise found their way into the 911. The suspension was revised substantially, it now featured coil springs and shock absorbers instead of torsion bars.
