Item Details
Such a unique piece of WWII trench art! It mixes Militaria & Coins. It has the emblems of the US Navy & Royal Australian Air Force and was found with a US medal and buttons inside. Our guess is a Navy pilot was possibly embedded with the RAAF and created this on his down time. All attached coins are early 1940's or 1930's. Possibly each coin represents a country the soldier visited? It is wood lined stainless steel with hand-hammered copper frame and lock clasp with a removable upper tray. Don't let this one go!... Perfect unique storage box for coins or small military collectibles
