19th Century Japanese carved fruitwood 'The oni' (devil) playing the lute figure. Goblin like figure with short horns flaming eyebrows & 3 toes & claws. Signed to buttocks SIZE: 2"H DATE: Circa 1880 CONDITION: Good, top section of lute appears to have broken off
